Microsoft will launch its fourth-generation hybrid tablet, the Surface Pro 4, in India tomorrow. The company has started sending out media invites for the launch event, which is set to take place in Delhi. Apart from the Surface Pro 4, the company is set to launch its first full-fledged laptop, the Surface Book, in India in the coming weeks.
The Windows 10-powered Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features a 12.3-inch Pixel Sense display with a resolution of 2,736 x 1,824 (267 ppi), a sixth-generation Intel Core m3/i5/i7 processor with Intel Iris or Intel HD graphics, 4GB/8GB/16GB RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB SSD storage, and a Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n connectivity.
The tablet, which weighs just 786 grams, comes with an 8-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and 1080p video recording, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a magnesium unibody and comes with stereo speakers and the Surface Pen. The Surface Pen is very precise, and helps in jotting down notes and ideas.
It competes with hybrid tablets like the Apple iPad Pro and the Google Pixel C, and you can easily finish productivity-related tasks. There's even an adjustable kickstand and a keyboard accessory that makes it more like a laptop, and since it runs full-fledged Windows 10, you can run desktop apps. The tablet might be priced upwards of Rs. 60,000 in India.
