Aircel in aggressive 3G expansion mode in Bihar; to launch 3G in 61 towns by year-end

Aircel, announced an aggressive expansion plan of its 3G network in Bihar. As part of this exercise, Aircel will add 61 new towns to its network by December 2015, strengthening its robust network to provide an seamless experience to its customers. The expansion to the new towns is set to significantly benefit a large number of Aircel customers in Bihar and redefine their data usage experience with a maximum 3G speed of up to 7.2 Mbps. Aircel customers in these towns soon will be able to consume live streaming videos, HD content, gaming, social networking and browsing at very high speeds.

According to Hitender Kumar, Business Head – Bihar, Aircel, “The population of 3G users that expects a seamless experience is dramatically increasing, especially as mobile handsets are increasingly being used for varied purposes. We have been working tirelessly to live up to this expectation of our customers and hence, we’ve redoubled our effort in expanding our 3G network all across Bihar. We are confident that by extending our 3G network to these 61 new towns across districts in Bihar, the Aircel network will prove to be the most reliable data companion of our customers for their smart devices.”

The 61 new towns include Arrah, Buxar, Motihari, Sitamarhi, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Dighwara, ,Bettiah, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Purnia, Nalanda, Biharsharif, Munger among others.

The further strengthening of Aircel’s 3G network is in line with the company’s objective of greater penetration of mobile internet across the length and breadth of the country, thereby fuelling mobile internet adoption in India. Supporting the growing usage of 3G, Aircel has in its kitty, a host of innovative data products for its customers in Bihar, such as RC 8 that enables customers to use 40 MB of 3G data for a day at Rs. 8, RC 155 offering 1 GB of 3G Data for 20 days at Rs. 155 and a monthly pack of Rs. 198 that credits the user with 1.2 GB of 3G Data for 30 days, apart from several others that offer great flexibility in terms of Data benefits and validity.
