OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone brand that gave us the OnePlus One, has just tweeted that it is “time to change”. The company has been quite vocal about the launch of the OnePlus Two, and it seems like we now have a date regarding its launch. OnePlus is stating that is planning to “shake up the tech industry” on June 1, and this might just be the day when we see the OnePlus Two for the first time.

The teaser image has a half-erased OnePlus One so the new device that the company plans on launching on Monday might just be its successor. The smartphone was earlier stated to be launched in the Q3 2015, which commences on July 1st. It might be possible that the company showcases the device on June 1 before it hits the virtual shelves in the following month.

The smartphone will be made available via the company’s invite-only model. It will run OxygenOS for the global variants and HydrogenOS for the Chinese variant. Prior discussions of the company’s top guns in forums have suggested that the smartphone may have a Snapdragon 810 chipset ticking inside and a price tag of around $400 (roughly Rs 25,000).

Other rumoured specs include a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 16MP or a 13MP rear-facing camera with 4K video recording, 5MP front-facing camera, 16GB/64GB storage variants, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 3,300 mAh battery, and a metallic build. June 1 is not far away, and we’ll have all the details by then.
