Aircel the 7th largest operator by subscriber base has finally launched its self-care portal for android users through 'My Aircel' app which is now available for download on Google play store. Other operators like Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance have similar self-care apps for their subscribers and with the launch of this app Aircel has come neck to neck with respect to ease of use and consumer empowerment. The app at this point has limited functionality with the ability to recharge prepaid numbers and also view plan and pack details for local, STD and roaming special tariff vouchers. The app allows lodging a complaint with customer care and also gives information about helpline numbers and contact details of the appellate authority.
Earlier this month we had shared with you how Airtel had revamped its own self-care app 'My Airtel' and added support for discount coupons. This app by Aircel is still in its early days and we will see more features added to it in due course of time. It will be beneficial if Aircel adds support for individual voice and data balance details with validities of individual packs active on ones number, also live chat with customer care would provide for more real-time solutions to consumer grievances.
