MTS to Offer Free Wi-Fi in all trains operational on Rapid Metro corridor in Gurgaon, Haryana.

MTS India will be now be offering free WiFi services on all trains running on the 5.1 Km long six station corridor connecting Sikanderpur Metro station, Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, DLF Phase 3 and Ambience Mall. In addition to all Rapid Metro trains, MTS will also provide free WiFi access on four stations including Sikanderpur, IndusInd Bank Cyber City, Phase 2 and Micromax Moulsari Avenue.

To promote the service amongst commuters of Rapid Metro, MTS would be offering WiFi service Free for a period of six months. Through this initiative, 30,000 daily commuters of Rapid Metro will get to experience internet speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps.

MTS had commissioned an internal research to gauge consumer interest in using WiFi services while traveling in Rapid Metro. The study undertaken by AZ Research highlighted that more than 95% of commuters wanted to have access to internet while using the Rapid Metro. The percentage was highest amongst travelers in the age-group of 15-35 years.

How to Avail Free MTS Wifi Services.

1. Visit an MTS kiosk on the Rapid Metro stations and take a free WiFi coupon – scratch the same to get the Activation PIN.
2. Look for available WiFi networks on your device – select “MTS 3GPLUS Wi-Fi” network.
3. On entering any URL, users will be automatically redirected to the MTS 3GPLUS WiFi page, select NEW USER option and enter a valid Mobile Number and the Activation PIN, click the ‘submit’ button.
4. Users will receive a password via SMS on the mobile number entered, use password & start surfing the internet.
