TRAI Gets Maximum Complaints Against Airtel, Reliance and Vodafone

India’s leading mobile service operator Bharti airtel, Reliance Communications (Rcom) and Vodafone Essar are  on top when it comes to their Mobile Service users complaints related to Billing & Tariff related issues and Activation of chargeable Value Added Services (VAS) without explicit consent of the customer.

Indian telecom watchdog Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has been receiving complaints against all the leading private Mobile Service Providers alleging various problems which include billing, metering & tariff related issues and activation of chargeable value added services without explicit consent of the customer.

According to the information given by Minister of State for Communication and IT. Mr Sachin Pilot’s in Lok Sabha, In last 3 years TRAI received the maximum 3571 complaints against Airtel followed by 2,151 from Reliance customers and 1,896 from Vodafone Essar customers, 1239 from Tata Docomo customers and 925 from Idea Cellular customers lodged against them for Overcharging by their mobile service operators.

The operator-wise details of complaints against private mobile service providers during last three years is given as under:

The above complaints are forwarded by TRAI to the concerned service providers for appropriate action/resolution.

TRAI has notified the Telecom Consumers Protection and redressal of Grievances Regulations, 2007 which makes it mandatory for every service provider to establish a three tier system consisting of Call center, Nodal officer and Appellate Authority for redressal of grievances of telecom consumers. The regulation also outlines the processes, procedures and time limits.

In order to improve the effectiveness of the grievance redressal system, TRAI has issued a Consultation Paper on review measures to protect interest of consumers in the telecom sector.

A telecom operator can offer at any given point of time a maximum of 25 tariff plans in a service area. The cap of 25 tariff plans(post paid and prepaid inclusive) is applicable on the Service segments of Fixed wireline, Fixed wireless , Mobile(GSM) and Mobile(CDMA) separately.

    balance deduction

    My name is Susobhan. My aircel number is 8013******. Whenever i recharge my aircel number, aircel deducts my balance by 5 or 10 rs. When i asked customer care to refund my money, they ignored and ask me to do whatever i want. They said u have downloaded from hungama wat the f***. I am a software engineer i know how to use mobile. This is totally cheating.

    I have bought an Apple iphone 5s through reliamce Rs 2999 scheme in January’14, since then I have been facing problem of network coverage, mainly in my office there is zero network. After escalating the issue to their CEO vinod sawhny on 4th July’14,an engineer of reliance has visited my office to check and has suggested that an indoor antenna has to be installed to resolve the issue. After this, I have been assured that this would be resolved soon. In the mean time, I have been told that installing an antenna is not feasible for them as cost is huge and I have been given option to take the money back and port the number.
    The amount which they are offering me Rs. 6000 and the phone will re main with me. I have told them that I have opted for the scheme to reduce down my bill and enjoy unlimited calls and data facility, not for the phone.

    I have been writing to reliance CEO vinod sawhny, but he has taken a very sick and careless approach.
    I don’t know what to do now…

    Telecom companies use uncalled value added services to deceive the uneducated customers. Stern action should be taken for unsolicited VAS charges.

    I purchased a AIRTEL Data Dongle No 9650029985 on 10/09/2013, against a full upfront payment of Rs 3600, covering all expenses for 6 months, to be followed by a monthly payment of Rs 600/- pm thereafter.
    The connection was activated on 17/09/2013, but did not work due to improper signal strength, which was not resolved despite repeated requests, till date (i.e. 09/10/2013).
    Thus the advance rental paid, continued to go waste without any service provided by AIRTEL.
    Further when I tried to connect the Data Dongle on 29/10/2013 to check if the Data Service had started, I was shocked to find that the same had been discontinued from 28/10/2013 on account of nonpayment of some bills further slapped on me towards payment of taxes, which AIRTEL now began to claim that were over & above the upfront payment, whereas it was clearly conveyed by AIRTEL’s agent, that the upfront payment were all that were ever required to be paid.
    Customer Care & Technical Support for AIRTEL Data Services was very poor & not only failed to provide any resolution, but also refused to register any complaint in this regard.

    I had recharged my number 9833053627 by 1000 rs by 9pm n now im left wid negative balance of -68….. Now ders no way im able to find how cum my balance getting negative for no reasons. Had just ported my number from vodafone to reliance….. Dint knew i wud get such a bad experience of reliance.. Plz take some strict actions against reliance n revert back every single steps taken against dis fraud

    I the under named happens to be owner of SIM 8101016498.
    I have noticed that the reliance company wrongfully deducted Rs 3.00
    from the balance from this sim on last 27th sep without any request
    from my end and without any prior intimation to me from your end.
    Further I would like to draw your kind attention that the helpline of
    reliance i.e. *333 always remain busy, deferring the customers to make
    any correspondence or lodge any complain.
    The request for START DND is also not getting initiated in this sim,
    in spite of several sms send in 1908 no.
    START DND MAY KINDLY ACTIVATED IN THIS SIM, WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
    However any repeatation of this happenings in mere future will highly
    condemned and will be informed to further appropriate higher
    authority, which will also hamper the reputation and goodwill of your
    company

      Thousands of Indians travel through the state borders and near by cities for work everyday . And there seems to be no service provider on ZONE basis, irrespective of state borders.I travel from border town Hosur in TN to Bangalore , KA, everyday and RELIANCE SIM is roaming. they charge so much. funnier part is even within the Hosur town ( radius 4 Kms ) , Reliance shows as roaming. when I travel to Krishnagiri which is more than 60kms from border, still shows roaming. Same in Salem .When I called the CC,they said, you will be charged roaming only when you dial 0 infront of the number, or else it will be billed as local call. But , when it shows roaming, you can never make a call without using 0.Reliance is one BIG looter in this country.

    I have tried to send mail to nodal officer on this id: nodal.kk @ tatadocomo . com mail could not be delivered by saying wrong email id.
    My concern is below

    I have applied for postpaid to prepaid connection on 7-Sep-2013 and submitted all my id proofs to tatadocomo outlet Kormangala bangalore.
    But my connection still not migrated and I have left Karnataka.Again it is not possible to resubmit my document to outlet.
    I have raised complaints against this but nothing has happened. Customer care is asking me to again resubmit my id proofs.
    I am very much unsatisfied with tata docomo postpaid services.Unnecessary I need to pay bill in roaming.
    Please kindly cancel my number ASAP.

    I am using Airtel number:- 9956516786 and my bill amount never reached more than Rs 1000 but suddenly current month bill shows Rs 4250/-(My Bill Limit is 1050) this amount is very huge for common man, as I am not activated any internet plan,
    I would like to raise below questions with Airtel
    IF my credit limit is less then Rs 5000/- my servicess will get stopped or I will get notification, before my credit limit increase operator need to inform me about my credit limit why increasing)

    2) it is service provider duty to inform their customer when the charges going above their limit,

    3) Why I have not received alert message when I already fully utilized the mail-id I usually getting alert message from Airtel regarding the usage which is suddenly stopped on before my bill cycle.

    Please help me for resolving the above issue

    I am using Vodafone number:- 8802300153 and my bill amount never reached more than Rs 500, but suddenly current month bill shows Rs 1632/-(My Bill Limit is 1050) this amount is very huge for common man, as I activated internet plan for Rs 50 (2G) for 2GB data, normally I will get the message from Vodafone against data usage , I did not got any message against Data usage, due to this my current month bill cycle I have utilized 102mb extra usage,due to this, reason I have charged Rs 10paise per KB for 102MB and my bill generated for Rs 1066/-this is very huge amount,

    I would like to raise below questions with Vodafone

    1) why my credit limit increased to Rs 1632 where I have not requested for increase my credit limit, without my knowledge it has been increased (IF my credit limit is less then Rs 1050, my servicess will get stopped or I will get notification, before my credit limit increase operator need to inform me about my credit limit why increasing)

    2) it is service provider duty to inform their customer when the charges going above their limit,
    4) why there huge rate diffrience in internet data ( 10 paise per KB)

    3) Why I have not received alert message when I already fully utilized the 2G internet data, I usually getting alert message from Vodafone regarding the usage which is suddenly stopped on before my bill cycle.

    Please help me for resolving the above issue

    It’s been over one and half month since I lodged the complaint over phone at Airtel, against the complaint no-50157870, dated 25 April 2013. Airtel cooked up the story and refused to resolved the problem.

    I have been cheated by Airtel, as they have changed my monthly tariff plan without intimating to me and sent me wrong bill which escalated my monthly payment.( the changed plan has higher rate). When I approached Airtel they refused and took over a month to cook up their own story.

    Im using tata docomo i have portabled from airtel to docomo i have many complaints about the docomo my number is 9600331663
    1. They deducted a balance of 8 rupees two days before and i called customer care they told that your information is not updated call after 3 hrs i called them but they blocked my call till now im calling but no use they are telling that i have made an std call but at that time my mobile was switched off till morning
    2. Some days before they taken 25 rupees i called them they told that i have used net because of that they charged me but at that time i have net then i told then about that they told that your datapack is over thats what we have charged the next day also i called then another person is telling that i have send 5 national sms thats what they have charged
    it goes to a lot they have refunded me only once tat 2 because the bal is 125 rs please do some thing with this…

    pop up type msg came from vodafone.just opened it and closed.balance of Rs 150 deducted of some service vodafone tv application.
    this is done when im using phone where no app other than google play is entertained…but vodafone is denying so…they will deny also…bcoz they are getting benefit of it by making money.by sending such msgs….DND service is activated then how come this type of msg can come to vodafone user only

    I have 2 nos from vodafone.
    I have only basic model mobiles. Without my permission or atleast any intimation, they have activated a caller tune and 2G – VMC + VL internet plan, for which I should pay extra amount. If a made a call to 111 and 9884098840, they are not giving me the proper answer. Simply they are asking me to call later. This is the alst attempt I am trying..
    If they are continuing the same, there is no doubt that I will make a complaint to TRAI.

    I have been using Reliance CDMA Mobile since the launch, recently on 3rd April 12 I have requested for change of plan from post paid to pre paid, which was confirmed thru SMS on 7th April 2012 then in May 12 I got the bill, again I requested for change of plan from post paid to pre paid and have paid the bill for Rs. 700/- and during this period we have not made any outgoing call just received the call, again in June I got the bill and then after few day my mobile was disconnected, this is high handedness on part of their customer care deptt. Kindly suggest me how this phone can be reterived or I may be allowed to use this no with other operator. ( I have not defaulted in making payment during all these years)

    My VODA no. is 09702423686

    I sent a request to activate the 3G services on 27th June 2012.

    From 27th June 2012 till date (6 days)… the call centre says that the 3G services are ACTIVATED. However, the same is not seen on my mobile phone.

    I tried the USSD services to check my data plan by dialing interactive *111#, and there is no data 3G plan activated as per the USSD service.

    1. Call Centre told me bluntly that there is service issues with 3G services from last 5 days.
    2. Call Centre refused to take complaint and stated that I need to cooperate with them!!!
    3. Call Centre says that 200 plan of 3G data plan is activated, while USSD service says no data plan is activated – contradictory information
    4. Call Centre Supervisor namely, Vikas Wagh, rudely stated that they will charge me for 3G plan from 27th June, whether or not it is working on the phone.

    I would advise if vodafone requires a monetory help of Rs. 200, please ask for it, rather than being attrocious and cheating the customer for the attaining the same.

    AIRTEL RINGTONE SCAM DURING MAY AND JUNE 2012
    I am an Airtel lifetime prepaid subscriber of mobile phone no. 9876526248 . Airtel had again third time committed criminal breach of trust, to my accounts of mobile phone no. 9876526248 during May and June 2012,again by deducting a hafty amount from my account by starting unsolisted commercial communications on my said phone without my consent and knowledge. As firstly,there is a radio service and ringtone which has been activated without asking and the same is obscene and rude. Secondly, there has been innumerable unsolisted commercial communications. The Airtel company had deducted hefty amount from my accounts. This amounts to unfair trade practice on the part of the Airtel company. I cannot be penalized for the service which I had never asked.Please take early necessary corrective action on my this complaint and give me justice .
    It is a matter of principle for me . Airtel should not go scott free for their extream negligent act for mear business sake.
    Hence the Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India is hereby requested to get the matter investigated throughly by obtaining call details alongwith concerned Tower locations of my said mobile phone number from 01/05/2012 to 12/06/2012 from Airtel which will be self explanatory.Please take appropriate legal, civil and criminal action against the said mobile phone operator and give me justice.This is third fraud being committed by Airtel with my accounts without my consent & knowledge . As this act of Airtel fullfils the definition of criminal breach of trust and same is punishable under section 406 of Indian Penal Code.
    So kindly pass an appropriate order against Airtel by directing Airtel to refund my money which they have deducted many times without my consent and knowledge. Also pass an appropriate order against Airtel because they voilated the conditions of registered mobile phone no.9876526248 with “National Consumer Preference Register” (NCPR).
    It is also worth mentioning here that Airtel is harrasing me (a lady), even without my fault resultantly compelled me to leave Airtel. So now i am also considering to leave Airtel and choose some another mobile phone service provider of punjab.
    Besides this,kindly help me in the process of registeration of criminal case against Airtel, because Airtel had third time committed an offence of criminal breach of trust with my accounts of mobile phone no 9876526248 during May and June 2012. Airtel also be directed to preserve my call & SMS details even after expiry of period of one year, as the same are required by enquiry authorities and by Hon’ble High Court for States of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh. As if Airtel have not given me justice by refunding back to my account, illegally deducted amount from my account through this scam. Otherwise I will submit the matter by way of petition before Hon’ble High Court for States of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh. Please give me justice at the earliest.

    Some miscreants call on my mobile as call centre boy. He asked some questions, some of which was technical. What I can’t answered so he tell me some number (including * and #) and ask to call. Rupees 30 and Rupees 3 deducted from by phone balance. After that, I call Vodaphone Customer Care Centre they asked me that it is balance transfer system. I call back the number the answer was “this number does not exist”. My question is why not the company confirm the transferee before the transfer the balance??? Why not alart all the customer by sms??? How a personal mobile number becomes “NUMBER DOES NOT EXIST” with in a second. The Phone number was +918768033919.

    services, and got the assurity last last weak to not deduct any amt in future but again 30rs deducted today
    Now i m fed up with balance deductions…

    I’ve one more complaint against the CUSTOMER CARE OF DOCOMO THAT
    THEY ARE NOT ALLOWING TO CALL CUSTOMER CARE ONLY ONE IN A DAY
    THERE SHOULD BE FACILITY TO CALL CC ATLEAST THREE TIMES IN A DAY
    PLA UNDERSTAND THE JENUIN CUSTOMER PROBLEM

    Dear Sir,

    I have recently purchased a sim card from Reliance GSM. About 2 -3 days before i got an SMS that they have deducted some amount from my prepaid account for subscribing to morning SMS service but which i didn’t subscribed. They started deducting this amount without my consent.

    When i tried their customer care number , it took me hours to speak to one of their customer care representative and once connected, i explaiend to him my problem and he assured me that the service is deactivated and the amount will be credited back to my prepaid account. But it has been around 2-3 days since i submitted my complaint but till now , i am still recieving morning SMSs and the amount hasn’t been credited back to my account. I again tried speaking to their customer care representative but he told me that due to some technical problem, he won’t be able to help me at that point of time and he asked me to call after some time. I again called after some time but again the same response.

    ME apne 8018969419 number pe 25th April ko 33 ka sms pack active kia jisk validity 30 days ka he matlab me 25th may tak ye service ko enjoy kar sakta tha par 8th may ko hi Airtel wale ye service ko stop kar diye.. only 13days k din me hi..
    So me complain karne k liye Airtel customer care ko phone kiya par itna ghatiya customer care ko phone laga hi nahin.. na 198 ko na 121 me.. 5 phone number se rty karne k bad laga aur me complain diya.. wo complain lodge kiye bol k bole.. fir me 9th may ko fise se complain kiya aur wo bole ki aap k main balance kom he so recharge kijiye,.. service active ho jayega par na hua.. Avi tak bhikari company ne 11 rupe kat chuke hain.. jitna v complain kiya phone me, online me, nadal officer ko v par 6days ho chuke hain koi v response nehin..

    itna ghatiya company Airtel ka.. customer ka koi value hi nehin.. kov v koi v service active kar dete hain.. main balance se katne lagt hain.. customer care ka response nehin.. i am going to complain to the consumer court soon against this company soon

    Its not a problem of one service provider…all of them have recruited such assholes…..these nincompoops are good for nothing, and just like any other idiot , as soon as they get such jobs, they start feeling that they are the queens and kings of indian telecom….they can be easily replaced with new staff if the company wants…behaviour monitoring should be made compulsory and such girls and boys should be sent to the primary school again…my sincere advice to you is to go to some other customer care centre of the same company and get your work done…and never forget to complain to the higher officials of the company about such incidents…but if she be a mistress of those higher ups, you have no hope ;-) @aditya mathur

    I have been using vodafone no 9820299101 from last 5 years and from last 6 months they have harrased me like anything because of this i am facing a lot of issues. Recently they have charged me the wrong bill and i have marked a mail to reverse that unused bill and i have got an confirmation mail also to reverse that amount on 30th March, 2012. Regularly i am making my all payments to vodafone still every now and than vodafone is restricting my outgoing services. Several times i have spoken to Customer Care, everybody is giving me different talks related to reversal.
    Again they have restricted my outgoing services. Requesting you please take a neccessary action against Vodafone for providng such a pathetic service and harrssing a customer. Also customer care is not at all ready to provide anysolution to me. while talking to customer, i feel i am talking to machine with repeated sentence.
    For ref: I am attaching a confirmation of reversal mail which i have received it on 30th March, 2012.

    I called up the customer care 121 & talked to the executive & got the information that one PACK PURCHASE SUBSCRIPTION PACK has been activated in my number. I have explained that it is not activated in my no. Then I talked to the senior exec, Bapi he communicated the same. O my asking he provided me the no. of nodal officer, S. Bhattacharya on 9831234865.On IVR I talked to a lady who informed due to system upgradation she is not able to answer my queries.After sometime when I again called to 9831234865, got the no. switched off. I don’t know if the no. is a real one or not.
    I again called up to 121 as not got any proper resolution but senior executive Shankar Kar also replied that the mentioned above pack is activated in my no. though I have explained that I am the sole user of the connection but they did not pay any heed. Even I asked if the pack is activated in my no. then what is the charge of the pack as the balance in my no. became zero.But I did not get the charge of the pack. If the pack is activated & balance is deducted from my no. then I have all the right to know the detail of my deduction.
    Now the question is I have not activated the pack anyhow to my no. but I got the balance deduction.I am just willing to get back the amount as it is not activated from my no. & I am not able to know why they are not providing the charge of the pack because if I had more amount & they deducted the whole amount then who is to answer about the charge of the Pack.
    So, this is my earnest request to look into the matter & let the wrongly deducted amount to be refunded to my account.

    air tel is cheated network.i put 49 message booster.my friend also put same rc49 booster early i told to recharge.but he is done after i put the booster.the 2 hours different only.customer care told only 60 days validity.we r not extend Ur booster validity.now they r not allow to contact customer care.now they are refusing my calls.software is not allowing to 2nd recharge otherwise they are given a double validity.air tel is a cheater network.now only i saw the complaints from air tel customers.i think aircel is best n/w.

    As the 2G spectrum scam High court charges penalty to mobile servise provider for large amount, so the company has started doing fraud with customer by charging for anything as they like even though we have not activated any special dervice.
    This is time to show them that “The customer is King & If we decide to action them we can do that, just we have to keep compaining to TRAI.

    Everyday 3 Rs. getting deducted from IDEA my account for downloading Wallpapers, whereas I havn’t done the same.

    If we decide, we can shut down their company, then they will realise

I deactivated the facility and after fifteen days they again started the same without my consent. Yesterday they send me an sms thanking me for subscribi ng to vedio talkies and deducting thirty Rupees from me.This is very much unethical for Airtel to do such injustice to a customer like this.Now I am forced to discontinue my subscription with airtel.Please take action that I may not be activated on any value added services without my knowledge and deduct money at the sole discretion of the Airtel alone

    This is Aditya Mathur.i have been using a airtel from last 2 or 3 yrs.my number is 8800449866.registered on the Photo Id of my Sister Prachi Mathur.i want to complaint regarding inconvienence and unproffesional attitude at the Airtel store.actually i have lost my sim card in the second week of january 2012.i visited to the Airtel Store(Rohtas Nagar,Shahdara).and submitted the photo id proof along with the photo to get the new sim on 28/1/12.i was promised dat number will be activated within 4 hrs.but the barefact is that my number is not activated yet..Your employer Ms.Shilpi miscommunicated and misbehaved with me…day before yesterday on 30/01/12(monday)..i call to the airtel store shahdara..the same girl Shilpi was saying sir ‘koi bat ni activate nahi hua to”.den i called to ur nodal center they informed me that there must be some technical problem in your sim so i visited again to the same airtel store there Shilpi told me that”mere se galti ho gai jo apko sim diya”.what would i understand from dis statement.she was talking me in very negative attitude.this type of behaviour or inconvienence is not expected with airtel.at the same store not a single employee was in professional uniform of airtel…..i m very much disturbed with this kind of inconvienence..ur nodal department just promised for the activation of number but i cant see any sight of hope.on 31/01/12 i got issued the new sim of number(8991101102235760844 H-2).NUMBER IS STILL NOT ACTIVATED……we are very old consumer of airtel…i m now totally harrased and disturbed with this kind of inconvienence….just because i hv lost my sim card i m facing all this…….i hope u would look upon my complaint seriously and will take immediate action towards the airtel store………..

    a couple of weeks ago i wanted ask a doubt of getting dns failed error in prepaid no,

    i used i get this mesaged daily many times,so i tried to call 121, 9840198401 9840012345, 198

    f i willing to continue, then after i press is would say to know the balance of recharge DIAL 121 ASH 3,

    IT gets disconnected, many many many times i tried ,when i want to ask some doubt ,

    i have to wait in a queue loooooooooooong queue,easily we dont gt 0 or 9 to spk to a customer care executive,

    if we get and press, it would please wait while we transfer to a customer care officer shortly pl stay on line…..

    and then line gets disconnected. this is toooooooo mush , see we all are working we cant spent hours of time to clarify a doubt,

    wont believe from 8pm to 11:30pm, i tried to ask a doubt , the doubt is i wanted to conenct an internet to a laptop

    via samsung corby mobile, after having installed a tool to get connected, it had asked me used id password,

    i asked samsung care they asked me to call airtel ,you wont believe , i called up airtel customer cre and putit in loud speaker

    and called samsung customer care simultaneously with another phon ,i spoke for twice to samsung ,but not a single timeto airtel,

    check ur caller idendity how many times i called up, do not we get a right number to spk to a customer care executive

I have been told by tata docomo. That airtel rejected MNP request stating legal obligation . So i request you to please my MNP request complete do the needfull.

They committed that that Level 2 Manager of the Sales Representative who goofed up will call me however nothing happened. Email sent to the Nodal Officer (tilak.chatterjee@relianceada.com) go unanswered. Just false promises.

    I have registered on the DNC registry still their own sales team called me and trapped me. I am without a valid connection and they do not even bother to offer a solution.

    I am using Reliance GSM prepaid SIM (8102172327 – Bihar State) for 6 months but whenever I am recharging it my amount has been deducted by activating the Value added service (which was never requested by me). I have tried to contacted customer care on 198 but never got any positive response. They also accept that without my permission these services are being activated on my number and amount have been deducted.

    It takes my lots of time to call the customer care and After calling 198 also as soon as they comes to know of my issues customer care executives disconnect the calls without my permission.

    If I calculate all the deducted amount from my balance it comes to more than Rs. 150/-per month for last 6 months. Now I am not at all happy with the services provided by Reliance.

    Note: Now I have suffered a lot from your services and soon going to lodge a complaint in consumer forum and TRAI.

    Reliance does this always. Sometimes with GPRS pack and sometimes wih calls. The best thing about Reliance is they never return your money back even if they are at fault .

    Finally , we search for cheap plans and opt for Reliance, but finally end up paying more due to these issues. Happens with every one , its better to switch operator . Call centre executive will only sing scripted lines whenever you call 198…

    Similar incident happened to me.
    I recharge my Reliance GSM (UP East) connection with Rs. 55 top up using online recharge. Website shows Regular/Core Talktime of Rs. 55, where as I got only 47 + 10 local R2R minutes. I mailed to gsm.customercare@relianceada.com with screen shots, but after two day no reply, sent reminder today.

    but last month TRAI announced 200 sms per day. Airtel not provide 200 sms per day. And other service provider provide 200 sms per day. like tata docomo, vodafone, aircel. most of airtel users not connect customer care.
    useless customer care service.. i will decide completely fed up airtel connection.

    i am fadeup with the pack HUNGAMA CLUB treing to deactivate it since three days
    customer care is not responding at all.

    they are not ready to listen even they donot know how to deactivate this!!!

    Really such a bad service to the customer airtel providing!!

    Can any body help me out in HOW TO DEACTIVATE HUNGAMA CLUB…….ITS A HEAP OF RUBBISH!! NOTHING ELSE…

    I want to file complaint against Bharti airtel & their flow supervisior Mohd. Faizal & Anita Survavanshi, Address: Bharti Airtel 1st floor vega centre A-Bldg Near Income tax office Swarg gate Pune. They are not eligible to answer my questions why they have deducted my balance and they are not ready to refund my balance as well. They are continuously deducting my balance without any reason.
    Kindly solve my problem as early as possible.

    i am reliance user .i want to port my no. from reliance to vodafon .so i requested vide request no-RH441713 on 13 OCT 11.but same was rejected by reliance with telling any reason.i visited reliance customer care Hissar Red square market but not received any satisfactory answar.Again i applied for portabilty to Idea on 10 Nov. but also this request rejected by reliance.Now Reliance is not doing portability of my num.Kindly help in getting my no. in changing vodafon.

    you might be having 100 sms daily plan so thats why it is deducting switch to other plan in which more smses are provided like composite 3500 sms per month or what you have in your circle

    On 10.11.11 I submitted my KYC documents to ” NEXGEN TELEKOM, 81,M.B. Road, Mahajati nagar, Birati, Kolkata 700051 (Mob: 9903252222)” for porting out mobile no. 9330858196(RIL) to Airtel. I got it activated on 17.11.11 after a long run and contact with customer care. My mobile was not activated for 2 days after switched over from RIL to Airtel. On 23.11.11 I got sms from customer care to submit documents, I immediately contacted dealer, who in turn said to ignore the message. On 24.11.11 I got one more sms for its dis connection and then rushed to the dealer. Who told to submit documents as per new KYC and TRI guidelines and to submit it to Airtel shop, which I denied? Thereafter, he told to come on 25.11.11 at 7.30 p.m for re-submission of documents as the form of application is not available. Now see the fun, since beginning I am moving heather and thither but dealer as well as customer care did not bother. When I have already submitted my papers as per satisfaction of the dealer and that too has not been returned to me then how by sending a sms it was disconnected. Further, how the dealer tries to make me fool by telling different stories. I want my problem should positively be sorted out by tomorrow otherwise I have to go to consumer forum for its redressal. My loss is mental, physical and financial too and is more than Rs.20000.00. Really it was very humiliating experience with Airtel.     I would like to lodge a complaint against the company Airtel for Harassment and repeated bill generation after being asked to sever the connection ( Land line : 01141078280 / Broadband) . The Situation as is:

    I had asked the airtel customer care people to get my connection shifted to my new address around July 15th. After 2 weeks of not getting any response from them , i called back and was told that the connection cannot be shifted as the new area did not have distribution lines. I asked the customer care representative at that time to please cut the connection and refund the RS 1500/- Deposit taken in the beginning. After that i kept getting calls for bills being pending. I have called the customer care repeatedly and asked them to please cut the connection. Today is the 22nd of november and they still have not done the needful. Instead they are generating bill after bill when their equipment is lying dismantled at my house.

    I have contacted and complained the concerned guys infinite times. Each time I get to hear that it will be done today but unfortunately its not done as yet. I do not understand why my connection has not been cut as yet. I am sure that my paltry Rs 1500/- a month cannot be so important that they are trying these tactics. It is not as if they will bankrupt if they cancel my connection

    I would really like this to be resolved as quickly as possible. In case this does not work. Please suggest the next of action.

    even i am facing the same problem. i am using airtel since 2001 but now a days, facing so much problem like yours, ie deduction of money in hundreds for the use of 15-20 mints only on 2g.how it is possible? and what is more irritating is that customer care does not bother to reply responsibly. i am fad up and now seriously thinking to change my service provider

    Airtel is worst service provider.

    I had applied for Mobile number portability as i was facing network problem. I was informed that my service provider will be changed in 8-10 working days. However, even after 20 days service provider was not changed. When inquired at the Call center i was informed that my MNP Scheme was de-activated and that i cannot change the Service provider for next three months. I wrote to nodal officedr but did not receive any reply. Thereafter i complained to appellate authority but no reply. I fail to understand that how come they have de-activated the scheme without my consent. I request TRAI to take immediate action.

    my complaint against AIRTEL. my no.is 7709767942. on this no. airtel has been activated chargeble valueadded services(bolly spice or airtel live contents) and reduce my account balance.
    for short period all service are deactivated and after some day newly activated and reduce the balance.
    when i call to the customr care,they does not give sufficiant answer or cos of reduction balance and cut the call by them everytime.
    i am disappointed from AIRTEL service.
    i requst to TRIA to take immegiate action.

    I my case airtel cheated me 400/- for usage of data.But the thing is i am using GPRS pack too..The airtel debit from main account and gprs account.
    This is one of the shit work of airtel.When i complaint no proper answer and response.Even through nodal officer answer is not proper one…..

    I feel to scold Rude words on aitrel management.
    Airtel is not a mobile network they are fraud and cheating network….
    I FEEL SHAME TO USE AIRTEL…….

    Written reminder regularly at Appellate Authority, Nodal Officer & general complaint through email at 121@airtel.in even forwarding a email to chairman & MD through email of the company secretary email address for early resolve of grievances. But no action would be taken by airtel management at delhi to resolve the problem. Now they are neither replying nor calling about what action shall be taken by the delhi airtel management. our airtel gsm number is 9871549157.

    Give freedom to customers to use DND, but dont make them scapegoats by restricting mode of communication. Make DND strict. Do awareness programmes to bring DND in to light. I think almost 80.% customers are aware of DND. Comeon TRAI dont play with our rights. Instead promote DND through TVads radio Newspapers etc. May God show you right way & give wisdom this problem in a mature manner, benefitting customer & customer rights.

    Kindly do take the restriction against the daily limited 100sms. Sms is most succesful and useful facility that even low class to high class prefer with. The only most succesful technology . We don’t want this daily restriction. We can understand about the traffic regulation but yet,we are dependant on this, so kindly do remove this. We do beleive that TRAI helps in peoples satisfaction. We have suggestion too ,either increase the sms count to 300/day or limit the sms count 6k to 8k/month.

    Actually i was using this numbers and 3-4 months before i had paid all the unbilled and pending amount for closing both this numbers

    But still i am receiving ebill mail on my mail id.

    Sir,

    I am Mr. DEBADUTTA SAMANTRAY, having Airtel Prepaid mobile Nos. “9938768571″ and “9938768671″, here with wish to mentioned that outgoing calls has been barred from both of my numbers since 10th of August’2011. I have submitted all related documents in Airtel Office – Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar on 24/10/2010 (last time / date of submission of documents).

    And again as per instruction of Appellate Staffs and other Airtel Higher Staffs again I have submitted my Documents at Airtel Office Saheed Nagar on 31/08/2011, vide Form / Acknowledgement Numbers “1665457 – for 9938768571″ and “1665450 – for 9938768671″.

    I have got calls from Airtel Staffs, from this numbers: “9958002941″, “9650806594″, “9650807416″, “9810485621″ and also from other numbers, to submit the documents.

    Before submission of my documents, the quarry was the numbers are due to non-submission of relevant documents, but after submission of documents, another Appellate told me that the barring has happend due to non or less-utilization of numbers.

    Now it is difficult for me to decide what shall I do…? If the opinion differs from Staff to Staff of Airtel, and even after submission of documents as per Appellate and other Airtel staff guidelines I am having same problem as I had.

    I shall intimate also that my number “9938768571 was having main balance talk-time value worth Rs. 933/-” and my 2nd number “9938768671 was having main balance talk-time of Rs.482/-”, which I want revert back to my concern numbers along with full activation and also having existing tariff.

    Now it seems that it is fault of Airtel, and the concern Department / Staff those who are involved in Keeping Customer Records both manually and Computerized, and also I would like to add that there is no co-ordination or record maintained regarding any complain taken by Airtel.

    I have using the both the numbers since 05/05/2010, and till now perhaps I have been submitted 4 times all my relevant documents in Airtel Office, even though I am facing the same problem repeatedly. So, I am requesting you kindly unbarred my number and do the needful for me, from 11th of August’2011 onwoards, but till now no action has been taken from your side.

    Please consider this issue seriously, and do the needful (Activation of both the numbers and providing the talk-time along with same tariff as I had) as soon as possible. As already more then 24 days are over as both of my numbers has been barred.

    And it is my personal request to Airtel, to keep customer’s record carefully and the concern staff / department should be trained enough that further this type of issue will not occur.

    I have registered DND in my mobile 8971676020 on 25/06/2011 [registration number W1051723998 Preferance : Fully Blocked].But, I was getting promotional Call and SMSs . Then as per suggestion from Airtel on August 6th I Send Request for DND again.But still i am getting calls.

    Hello
    My name is Gaurav Mahendru and I have submitted a request for cancellation of telephone number 011 41440338
    It should have been a simple process , however Airtel seems to be fleecing customers when it comes to closing a telephone connection. I had originally requested this phone connection to be disconnected on 24th of July but I was shocked that the agent who I spoke with did not even register my request. I had to resubmit request on 3rd of august and this time i was careful to take the request number down. I was told that a confirmation call will come to you and it did but instead of confirming and telling me when they would close the connection the agent who called me spent a good 15 minute trying to convince me not to cancel the call. I was told that my phone will be disconnected in 10 days. It has not been disconnected as yet and I have already called the helpline and sent an email to 121@airtel.in as well as visited the local office at Ansal Tower in Rajouri Garden, but to no avail. in the meantime i am convinced that airtel just wants to fleece me as a consumer, is there no way out, where can i go to get some service? I woud like to know who to contact to get this rectified.

    Hi,
    this is again highly frustrating, Today i have received missed call from this number:- +912230388366 on both of my number 9911716454 and 8010111405 at 3:40 PM IST. They have also send me two Configuration Message twice one for rcomWap and one for RelianceMbWorld at 3:41 PM IST. Finally they Send case Closer message at 3:42 PM IST having Case number 158619266. Now my question is how dare you to close this case without confirming it from me and how dare you to say that i have not received the call if you have given only missed call hardly for 4 second.
    When called customer service they said we can only confirm that case has been closed and can transfer the call to GPRS team, when connected with GPRS team they said let us look after this and let’s what we can do. After 19 days of Subscription you guys are still working on it and finally one of the case has been closed without giving any resolution.
    I have Clearly mentioned what exactly the problem is, as i said there is no problem in settings, i have all the settings i can use internet and can play TV using third party Mobile TV Application for Eg SPB TV and everything is Working fine. the only problem is when i tried to open the Mobile TV page it gave me Server Error message on page:

    As you told me to reconsider my decision to exit from your services and give you an opportunity to resolve this issue, i would like to say i am 100% sure that if after 19 days you can’t resolve the issue you can’t resolve it. And on 18 my Subscription will expire after that if you’ll resolve the Concern how it will benefit me? So i have decided that i will port out my number for sure and not only this but all of my 4 Reliance number to Airtel and you should give me exception before 3 month as the problem is from your end not from my End and i will take all best possible legal action and will fight for my right. Waiting for Diplomatic and negative Reply.

    hiiiiii,i have recharged with Rs98 gprs pack.As a service they provide a no 144 for cheking the gprs bal(mb used and left).Also i was offered 40 mb net free with sim giving RS38 vodafone live.So i used to send the message each time i use the internet on my device,for which the response from the comapany message was “u r active on RS38 data plan” it was not given any detail of the RS98 plan,so i thought i havenot finished 40 Mb free service of the company.On 4TH of AUGUST 2011 the deducted all my RS balance plus negative bal has reached to RS -76.When i called the customer care they refused and disconnect the call as they had no answer to my question.This is companies neglegency but i suffered due to this.They are definately doesn’t have the answer thats y they hold the phone and disconnect after some minutes.This is jharkhand vodafone no.my contact is 9031983412

    it is obvious that these operators having major subscriber then most of the complaints about these opeators. can some one light on how much subscriber base that much complaint registered. simply asking whats the average complaint / some group of subscriber that is ratio. then only we can get a correct result.

    like if idea complaints are 1000 per 10 lacs subscriber and vodafone complains are 1500 per 10 lacs subcriber then idea is good and vodafone is worst

    probably this is not a modem problem, i guess this is setting problem. if your internet getting disconnected in a constant interval and if you are using windows7 operating system then there is a option in internet settings of “auto disconnect”. get it disable so that you can use internet continuosly.

    Rs.60/- looted by activating caller tunes without any request. When I enquired about this their nonsense executives told me that there is no way they can enable caller tunes without request. Then the real trick. Because of an unwanted caller tune, the customer sends out a deactivation SMS for which they are charged 15 Rupees. Many persons tend to ignore this amount becasue they do not monitor their bills much. Maybe only 20 % of people monitor this. Rest don’t. That means Vodafone manages to dupe lakhs of people of 15 rupees every month. Imagine the illegal profit they make out of customers hard-earned money. Request all of you to lodge public interest litigations in this regard. These foreign companies should not be allowed to come to India and cheat Indian public this way. They cannot do anything like this in USA or Europe, becuase that would cost them millions of dollars as fine. They can afford to do such corruption in India because of government support in the corruption activities. Please, for god sake, do not spare these corporate cheaters. Let us show them what Indian Law can do to them.

    Hi, I completely agree with you. If you want to file a complaint you can go to TRAI but earlier the trend was to go to Consumer Forum for getting your disputes resolved and that to before the Supreme Courts judgement in the year of 2009 and it was clearly stated that the Consumer Forums will not entertain any kind of telecom disputes but we at Akosha went ahead and conducted a survey and it was found out that only 33% of the District Forums are rejecting the complaints and rest are still accepting it.     Airtel sucks big time. Not only is the customer service worlds pathetic but also the systems that manage transactions. Example: I got a manual recharge of Rs.98 for a monthly 2GB plan on 1-May-2011. Barely used it. I receive an SMS ten days later stating you will be auto charged Rs.98 for renewal of your internet within 72 hours. I spoke to the useless customer care and they said ‘forget the sms, no recharge will happen.’ But to my dismay it happened.

    When I called back and related to my previous call/complain, the supervisor clearly mentioned ‘we take money, but don’t have any way of giving it back and cannot guarantee that the same won’t repeat’. They never gave my money back. Instead they send an SMS stating problem resolved.

    Airtel is one MF company.

    Mai last 5-6 years se airtel use kar raha hu. But last 3-4 month me mai airtel se itna jyada pareshan ho chuka hu ki bata nahi sakta. 198 me call karo to vo puri baat hi nahi karte our call disc. kar dete hai. fir uske baad to minimum 5-7 days tak mere mobile se 198 me call lagta hi nahi hai, but kisi dusre no. se lag jata hai.
    Sir airtel mere no. par bina mere request ya permission ke hi kabhi bhi koi bhi value added service activate kar dete hai our night me 2-3 a.m. ko account se paise diduct kar dete hai. fir jab 198 me call karo to ya to vo thik se baat hi nahi karenge ya call disc. kar dete hai.
    Sir, Airtel ne apni service se mujhe itna pareshan kar diya hai ki mai unke against Serious Complaints karna chahta hu.
    filhal vo daily mere a/c se 3 to 5 rs. deduct kar rahe hai, koi adult bikinialert value added service (VAS) ke subscription ke naam par joki maine kabhi bhi subscribe hi nahi ki hai, iske liye maine kayi baar 198 me call kiya ki ye kyo kat raha hai, ise unsubcribe karne ko 198 me kaha to, unka kahna hai ki mere number par aisi koi service hi activate nahi hai.
    But sir last 30th April 2011 se hi daily mere mobile account se 3 to 5 rs. deduct ho raha hai VAS ke liye.
    Mai apna Mobile Operator change karna chahta hu, Our Airtel Se Tata DOCOMO Me jana chahta hu. But isi shart par ki Kya Tata DOCOMO Operator mujhe unki service me 1st day se hi fully DO NOT DISTURB (DND) Activate karke denge. b’cos mai koi Value Added Service kabhi nahi lena chahta. mujhe sirf our sirf Calling, Massages and Internet ki hi service chahiye. iske alawa koi service mujhe kabhi nahi chahiye our na hi koi bhi hellotone, dialertone, promotional, VAS or offer etc. related massages or calls kabhi nahi chahiye. Agar aisi koi facility mujhe Tata me mil sakti hai to please suggest and help me.

    subject:balance deduction for those services which I had not applied by vodafone.

    On 3rd,may,11 when I checked my balance it was around rs90 and on the next morning I.E 4th,may,11 it was rs -169.
    When I tried complaint on coutomer care I.E on 198 I talked to mr. Naveen over coutomer care he told me that your balance has been deducted for internet usage but on the other hand he told me one more thing as I M using iphone 3gs,till my iphone servise are not on I cannot use my internet so he made a complaint against this technical fault which he told me and gave me a request number I.E 162326263 further he told me that are company will revert back to you in 48 hours.
    But when after 48hr are over there was no revert I again called up vodafone coutomer care the guy tol me there he is again forwarding my complaint and gave me new complaint ID I.E 162823612 and told me wait for 24hr more..
    then agian when there was no revert from vodafone company I again called them and said all this matter they put me on hold and there was no response for 20-25 minutes while my call was on hold this happens three times and when I agained call I talked to mr.Saumaye he told me that there was not any complaint registered against my number.
    I am really fedup with this comapany for this I want a strict action otherwise they got courage to do the same with other people also.

    This is to inform you that I have taken 2 new connections of DOCOMO from Orissa circle. The numbers are 9040807072 & 9040807073.

    1. On the number 9040807072 a News pack is activated since 29th April 2011 without my information. I don’t even entertain any promotion calls & even if I receive any promotional calls I disconnect the calls. When I gave a call to customer care they only refunded Rs3/- on 4th May 2011 & raised a complain Pertaining Number – GBL099891030. The executive Lambodhar confirmed that the NEWS pack will be closed & on 5th MAY again Rs 1.50 has been deducted.

    2. On the number 9040807073 a Shayari Pack has been activated since 29th April 2011. When I gave a call to Customer care, I spoke to Bijay & he said he can give me refund of Rs1.50 & when asked to transfer the call to higher authority, he transfered the call to another agent & he disconnected the call instead of raising any complain.

    If this is the condition of DOCOMO services & DOCOMO customer care I don’t know what to say.

    I kindly request you to check into the cases & refund all those packs that has been activated from your end and cancel the packs.

    We were using airtel broadband & Landline since 5 years.few days back we shifted our home so we gave request to shift our connection too.but they forcefully change our plan while shifting our phone because our old plan is closed in airtel plans. aftyer so many request ,they are not ready to install our old plan which is very useful to us.we never gave any request for our plan change but forcfully airtel is doing this with us.

    airtel is cheating their customers.we write 5-10 mails to their customer care but no responce yet.even we are calling their customer care on daily basis twicely,but they said do what you can do,we are not going to give your old plan.

    this is what airtel is and what sunil bharti wants it to be!

    if any of TRAI officials read this message then please let me know what kind of penelty they can impose to Airtel for harashing their customers.

    but we loose our complete trust over airtel and i request you all not to go with airtel anymore in future.

    i m having complaints of cheating and not helping mw with the cheats of vodafones marketing partners global direct and vodafone, they looted me with 600rs cash and never answered me correctly with the same as i kept mailing to nodal officers and asked them me to provide the trai or dot email ids where can i complaint, now i m faceing 34.5 rs everytime added in my unbilled amount every new bill cycle, i told vodafone nodal officers assistants who made a call to me after my mail went to them, i need this mistake to be corrected from last 18 months i m facing and every month im mailing them, and they keep me saying dont i have any other issiue expect this, what do i do, i m from mumbai, 9820173739 jignesh, in 2008 vodafone marketing partner came to me with a scheme and took 600 rs and told me i will get 100 rs each month back till that amount, but never got it, i complained and gave vodafone the recipts but they never cared to take this case seriously, well what do we do now, none of operators are listening well, my friends are using other networks also, there are also many complaints against them, which operator is good, or start JPC in this also, take this i LOKPAL bill.

    I am a Idea Mobile subscriber and have two number i.e 9911920099 & 9990478911. Now I want to switch over to Vodaphone. I had given MNP request to Vodaphone.

    After the request was sent from Vodaphone to Idea, I receive a message from Vodaphone “that portability has been refused due to cotractual obligations from the subscriber agreement, plz contact your current operator for further details”.

    While to the best of my understanding, I am under no contractual obligation.

    When i tried to contacted the cusutomer care, my phone was disconnected, i tried no of times to call customer care on 121 , 12345 & on 18002700000 but failed to do so, it seems to me that they had added some sort of filter so that i am not able to talk to customer care. I havent received any message or email or call from Idea to tell me for what reasons MNP was refused.

    I believe it is just to harrass the customer, Idea is adopting such unethical and unprofessional practices.

    Request you to enable my swift MNP and take strcit action against Idea to stop adopting such practices and creating hurdles to the customers

    I am facing the problem with airtel value aided service named airtel blog which was activated WITHOUT CONCERN on date 14 Feb. 2011. i have already registered the complaint at 121 – 198 —Nodal office and Appellate authority. Nodal officer deactivate this service and refund the balance of INR 10 which was deducted for 10 days for airtel blog service. i got the confirmation SMS for the deactivation of the service on 24 march and 4march 2011 and reference no. is

    CBDMO20304333619.

    but after 10 days on date 14 march 2011 on 10.56 A.M i received the sms of renewed the airtel blog service again which was already deactivated by the Nodal officer.

    After that on dated 14 march 2011 5.41 p.m i was connected Appellate authority Mr. RAHUL BAWA and reference no. is COVWC30314566732 .

    But i am surprised on date 24 march 2011 when i was received the sms ‘airtel blog service’ renewed sms again at 10.56 A.M

    after that Mr. RAHUL BAWA registered my complaint again and forward to concern team on 25 march 2011 at 5.35 P.M and

    reference no. is COVWC30325205291.

    Today on 3 april 2011 at 10.56 i received the same sms about renewed ‘airtel blog’ service
    and deducted INR 10 again for 10 days.

    i connect to 121 helpline to get the information about that deduction on 3 april 2011 but i am seriously shocked when they say that you have subscribed to 2 value added service one was Hello tune and other was Shirdi live arti.

    Now i am facing other problem because i do not subscribe to shirdi live arti.

    When i ask for time of activated of such service than they says that i have no information regarding the time and process of activation i am only told you that service was subscribed by your own hand.they always told for all the time when i was call at helpline ( sorry sir i have no information regarding the activation of service time -day nothing )

    today on 13 april 2011 airtel blog service has been renewed and balance deducted without concern after deactivated the service by appellate athourity mr. rahul bawa on 25 march

    I can not understand that how can it is possible that Airtel’s customer care Representative have no detail regarding my no. at all the time .

    They always say sorry sir due to system fault and updation i can not provide u detail regarding your quarry.

    I am surprised now NODAL and APPELLATE authority can not do anything about it after complaint for 4 time.

    Now i am realise that it’s my fault when i was migrated in to AIRTEL

    Now i have only one option to PORT OUT from AIRTEL

    or i will forward complaint at consumer Court

    Now i am also unable to call at 121 & 198 from the last conversation with miss subnita i think my service has been blocked by any reason. i have registered complaint regarding it but still problem persist.

    WARNING TO THOSE WHO WISH TO PORT-IN TO VIDEOCON IN MUMBAI
    I have had ported out from Tatadocomo to Videocon hardly 10 days ago because of ‘no network coverage’ in the area. But Videocon immediately after a week started showing their colours i.e. cheating process thru VAS. Activated Caller Tune and that too best suitable to their own action – CHORI KIYA RE (M). Rs. 30 deducted and magnanimously informed me that I “will not be charged for this for 90 days”. Interestingly they have launched some ZERO business, in addition to opening grave year for 1p second. I feel cheated. Anyway sent email to their 121@videocon.com. Now I have no other choice but grin and bear them for another 80 days or so !!!!

Therefore, may I know can my bill be generated till now. This means that the management of Reliance Telecom Ltd. are misguiding the customers and not serving them in a responsible manner.     I am Deepak from pune and my mobile number is 9677858226. I have been
    using airtel prepaid sim from past 1.5+ years.
    MY issue:
    I wrote a mail dated 28th march 2011 to the nodal officer and 121 as
    well regarding the network issues in my office. But as there was no
    effective response from airtel i decide to switch my subscriber. As
    idea’s network is good in my office i opted to go for idea. But after
    filling the port in request form after 2-3 days i got an message from
    1901 as ” Dear customer, your port in request has been rejected by the
    NPG clearing house on the ground of COB”.
    I didn’t get the reason i went to the airtel office in pune, the
    executive told that there is some past balance on my name (Which is
    not possible as i m using a prepaid connection). He also said there
    might be some issues with your documents or u might have some past
    criminal record (NO record as such) and because of that reason my
    request has been rejected by the GOVERNMENT. I went to the idea office
    they said it not in there hand only airtel can do something about the
    issue.
    Please help me out of the issue.
    Give me an convincing answer to this or improve the network in my
    office.

    Beware of airtel. They are activating VAS on each and every number without consumer consent. During last two months this trend is increasing.If you ask them they will not have any data on when the service was activated and will keep on saying that you might have activated this and it can happen only from your end.

    All post paid users check your bill for VAS SMSes. Check for SMSes charged when you are less likely to have used the phone. Pre paid users check your balances everyday. Either it is a technical error in the airtel system or it is a scam ( the customer service guys will even tell you that your phone has java and it automatically downloads message using airtel live !!!! Even if you are out of their network !!! the biggest joke ever !!!)

    new trai is being launched den airtel should refund d recharges done by customer for sms pack as dey first used to gove 500 sms per day and after d rule dey r giving 100 sms per day den dey should refund back d recharges,and not even if 100 sms r completed for d day many tym dey r charging d money for sending sms.and when contacted to the customer care dey too not givin proper number to check how much sms r send.and when i told to customer care executive he blocked my calls.

    e-recharges may not be always fool proof. Once it so happened that somebody used a tarrif voucher and may be mistakenly my mobile number was input by him and my good plan for cheap STD which cost me some Rs. 800 that time was wasted. However one benefit will be that you balance will not reduce but mistakenly you may re receive very annoying adult jokes, cricket updates romance tips etc..
    Only solution will be paper recharge which requires the user to use his own mobile for the recharge.

    @ranjimathew no friend there is a stream & system of complaint can be made from ccc,officers,GM,CGM,CMD,otherforums like adalts conducted by the dept ..upto the top level of management of PSUs’u can make complaints which are not in PVT service providers’ system… upto minister of cmmunications u can make complaints abt any service provider that is their duty to solve the problem and to inform the complainant but.. u people r only relying on the customercare of service providers which r only a waste system..

    1.As we all are able to use the net, it should not be a problem, to check the Service Provider’s (SP) site for all contact/grievance redressal etc. addresses. Also it is not a bad idea to send one ‘advance copy’ of the complaint to TRAI (mail id available from TRAI site). Because, say, the SP may well ignore your mail.You should mention that “copy to:TRAI” & this will make the SP’s position inescapable. I have been benefitted from this method and so I suggest.

    2.As per TRAI, the service SHOULD NOT BE disconnected when a dispute is still on. or mail to “helpdesk@cag.org.in” of CAG a forum which offers free advice on consumer complaints.Ph.044/24914358 or 24460387.

    Even new players Docomo and Videocon provides AUTOMATIC SUDDEN FLASH (USSD based) MESSAGE LIKE SAYING “Press OK to activate some junk weed pack for Rs30/month, Else press CANCEL”.. THESE messages comes SUDDENLY WHEN USER IS TYPING ON A PHONE and the user WILL UNKNOWINGLY PRESS OK AND THE PACK gets activated, EVEN THE USER IS UNAWARE OF IT as “THE USSD MESSAGE closes after pressing the OK Key”…

    TRAI should beat these operators to death, for using these RUDE, UNETHICAL, MONEY-HUNGRY, GREEDY technique to eat customers money…

    ya I can agree with you on all other operators but not Uninor. Uninor is slowly expanding coverage and they do not activate VAS without customer consent.if they activate VAS , if we complaint they give back within 48 hrs.

    They are the BIGGEST gang of theives, robbers and dacoits. unfortnately the Indian constitutional doesnt give enough power to the customer, so that the customer can file a legal suite against the crimes of companies like AIRTEL. if that was possible AIRTEL would have gone bankrupt just by paying the penalties to the customers for inconviniences. Still I pray to god that TRAI takes a very strict step to tame these b*****ds like airtel. Further I would like to advise the TRAI authorities to set up a central system where the customers can give complaints, and after that if the complaints against any of the service providers’ exceed certain limit that provider shoud be made to pay the penalty.

Whenever I used to give complain to airtel regarding the inconviniences, they used to reply in a way that they made the customer to feel like he is a criminal, and if the customer used to insist that the inconvinience is caused from the Airtel’s side they used to react like someone have stepped on the tail of a mad dog.

    If customer care can’t solve simple (but really big) problems like you mentioned what is the use of paying them for the call customer make to them. Customer care only blames the customer in such cases.
    If operators are really care for the customers they should not just refund the money for Activation of VAS but find out the reason for such activation and eliminate it. In early days of telephony when manual systems were there problems of cross connections and wrong no. were very frequent. In this age of high end technology these problems are negligible. So why the problem of Activation of chargeable (and not chargeable) VAS without explicit consent is not solved. There may be two reasons for this: 1. The call center employees are getting some incentives on every VAS activation that why they don’t listen against it. or 2. The operator itself is at fault.
    There may be some technical problem behind this (CC executives normally have excuse for every problem by saying that we are unable to sort out your problem due to some technical problem) but the operators should accept that there may be some technical problem behind this.

    How to activate Caller Tunes on Vodafone (Secret)
    Warning: Trying the following steps will surely result in deduction of balance (maximum Rs. 30 and minimum Rs. 1 subjected to availability of balance.) Please do not held me responsible later on.
    (1) Just dial *567#. You will get a menu to select Caller Tunes of your choice.
    (2) Do not press any button and just exit from the Caller Tunes Menu.
    (3) You will receive a message from Vodafone that Caller Tunes have been activated on you mobile.
    Wasn’t it easy?
    You just browse the menu and services get activated automatically.
    I tried this more than 100 times and result was same. I do this once or twice everyday (Now I get the message “You don’t have sufficient balance to activate this service”).

    I still try above steps on my Vodafone (Punjab) SIM. if any other user experience such thing please let us know. I wrote an email to customer care but they didn’t care at all and answered me their typical cynical language.

    They are among the biggest 3 operators so the no. of complaints against obviously should be higher. But as a user of TATA Indicom, BSNL, Reliance GSM & CDMA, Vodafone and Airtel, The no. 1 Looter is Vodafone then Reliance and then Airtel (All the three have paid Customer care no. also). Tata Indicom has been fairly good and the best experience (in terms of network coverage and Activation of chargeable Value Added Services (VAS) without explicit consent) is with BSNL. However BSNL needs some good default tarrif plans like 1p/sec or 49p/min for all calls without any validity.

    Ya Airtel loots. they activate VAS without customers consent . I have been victim of this, they charged me Rs. 45/- on the name of mobile TV activation but surpassingly
    my handset does not support mobile TV. This is the funny thing. when contacted their customer care they replied I have used mobile TV service. don,t know whats the hell wrong with Airtel.

    Thats true Airtel & vodafone are known for balance deductions & Activating VAS, yesterday my friend got Vodafone Postpaid connection and as soon he inserted sim he received a message saying ” Flash messages have been activated @ 30rs/month enjoy latest news about bollywood,business, quizz etc etc” This is really annoying
