In a bid to provide mobile Internet service at affordable rates, State own Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today announced the launch of CDMA 1X Data Card with Unlimited Mobile Internet charges just for Rs.50 per month for its subscribers in Delhi telecom circle.
MTNL – Micromax CDMA Data Card MMX- 200C will cost Rs.1499. With this data card subscriber will get Free Unlimited Internet for one month from the date of activation and after one month Rs. 50 per month will be charged for next 11 months for Unlimited CDMA 1X Mobile Internet and Data transfer (speed up to 153 Kbps) without any FUP with in Home Network.
After 12 months, Data Card subscriber will be migrated to Plan-75 wherein Rs.75 per month will be charged for Unlimited Mobile Internet.The CDMA Data Card offer available only at MTNL Sanchar Haat in Delhi.
MTNL CDMA Mobile Phone (MMX C114) Offer :
MTNL also revised its existing Micromax C114 CDMA Mobile Phone offer for prepaid subscribers in Delhi, Now the Handset will cost just Rs.1575 comes with free talk time of Rs.1500 valid for one year for own network calls, Beyond Free usage subscriber will be charged 1paisa/2 seconds for Own Network Local and STD calls and 1p/sec for calls to any other network across India. MTNL Delhi has above mentioned scheme..
Also has 75 per month for Unlimited Mobile Internet on CDMA.
MTNL Delhi GSM also has Roaming at 0.70ps/min plan while roaming on BSNL network..
Then why all above schemes & plans not Available to MTNL Mumbai then??

Any person using this data card plz tell wats the speed u r getting,customer care don’t know abt roaming facility,plan is excellent but all depends on speed,if it does’nt delivers satisfying speed than wats the benefit of rs.50/month.

i have not used their cdma network for data services but recently have purchased their cdma ruim for call.morover i am using mtnl 3g in gsm.
here are my reviews for the same :
first of all their customer service.its pathetic.till date they live in era of 10am-5pm duty..also they wont register your call..i got this garuda ruim because at rs 150 i was getting 50 talktime + 2 local mtnl free calling for 1 year..however,on trying to register those 2 no.,its a pain..sanchar haat says contact customer care at 1502 and the guys at 1502 says to contact sanchar haat for the same..
and if plan to contact their nodal office or appelate authority ,then forget it too..the website does not mention clearly whom to contact..there are several area manager or general manager but they have not mentioned properly for the garuda services..
i called one of their area manager to complaint regarding the same issue for my ruim and here’s what she said “isme hum kuch nai kar sakte” and hanged up the phone..
and regarding the service..network is bad..realy bad..reliance gsm is still better as compared to garuda..
if you buy,then you are on your own..no help from anyone..50rs is cheap but once you have to invest 1500 for data card..n in case if the satisfied with the service ( which you wont be) ,then definately you wont recharge from next mnth..so means for 1 month you paid 1550 rs :p
and in case of 3g gsm service..the same prob of executive..but network is fine..not par with idea,airtel or vodafone..and also network penetration in the house is not good..you wont get more then 2-3 signals out of 6..!!
however,still the net is better..it gives me speed of 6-700 kbps and sometimes 1 mbps when i use it via mobile on pc with data cable through corby pro which is capable of 7.2mbps..however upload is just 3-400 kbps..in torrent average download speed is 60-70 kbps..on comparing with airtel,vodafone..their 3g speed is 2-3mbps,but when you see the price difference..its too much…mtnl offers 6mnth unlmited at 4500 including taxes in prepaid..whixh is 750 per mnth..whereas other offers around 2 gb at this price..

I was using CDMA Garuda internet 2 years back & was totally not satisfied with the service. Speed was 10 to 20kbps & most important frequent disconnection. I am not sure whether they have improved in these days or not. Customer care seems to be most irritating one. They seems to work from 9 AM to 5 PM & so they will not attend call other than this time. I have to think twice before getting their service. If somebody from Delhi using it plz share your views……..

MTNL CDMA 1X Network supports packet data speeds of up to 153 kbps with real world data transmission averaging 60–100 kbps in most commercial applications (depends on number of users).

Reliance net connect, MTS M browse and Tata(including Virgin CDMA) offering this same speed(max 153kbps, cdma 1X) for around Rs.800/month.

Are you sure that its just Rs 50 for a month. I read somewhere (teleguru.in) that its 300 per month and for first 11 months “discount” is Rs 50.
