Singtel and SAP Collaborate on 5G Intelligent Edge Aggregator Solution for Enterprise Customers

Singapore Telecommunications Company, Singtel and SAP have announced a collaboration to develop an Intelligent Edge Aggregator (IEA) solution to enhance cloud functionality and computing capabilities within Singtel's network architecture. The official release stated that this collaboration aims to boost enterprise operations and enable businesses to access real-time insights for informed decision-making.

Seamless Integration with SAP Platform

Singtel stated that the IEA solution, developed on Singtel's Paragon platform, will be supported by its 5G network and multi-edge computing solutions. By incorporating SAP's Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), enterprise customers will gain quick and seamless access to SAP software, allowing for seamless integration with their back-end processes at the cloud server edge.

According to Singtel, this integration will be instrumental in driving innovation and facilitating business growth for enterprises looking to exploit the potential of 5G technology.

Singtel stated that the joint go-to-market plan includes scaling the bundled solution across various countries in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, including Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India.

The Singtel - SAP partnership is poised to offer new use cases that will propel cloud adoption and drive advancements in industries across the region.
