Pan India 3G mobile service operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today launched Online Mobile Number Reservation initiative dubbed as "Choose your Mobile Number" scheme in Andhra Pradesh telecom circle.

BSNL introduces "Choose your Mobile Number" Portal (under its AP circle website) for its prospective prepaid mobile subscribers (2G / 3G) wherein customer can select any prepaid mobile number (maximum 2 number at a time) by his/her choice from the available 1 lakh numbers on circle website www.ap.bsnl.co.in.




After selecting and reservation the mobile number, customer will get 7 digit PIN number via SMS. Customer needs to visits the nearest BSNL CSC or Franchise with
required documents and PIN with reserved mobile number to get the prepaid connection as per his/her choice. The reserved or selected mobile number from on-line portal will be valid for 96 hrs.

Speaking on the launch of ‘Choose your mobile number’ scheme, Mr. Rajeev Agarwal, Chief General Manager of BSNL - AP circle, said "BSNL had achieved tremendous success in mobile number portability (MNP) and over 200,000 customers in Andhra Pradesh circle had joined BSNL through Mobile Number Portability (MNP).

The AP circle has become the market leader in net addition of customers, selling more than double the number of connections of the second operator in rest consistently from the last couple of months."
