    I am from Midnapur town,& here bsnl 3g service is present….within 3g tower range everyone can make a video call to a compatible caller,both have bsnl 2g/3g connection,3g coverage & 3g handset….just write the recepent’s no on ur mobile screen/select from contacts..go to option…& dial video call instead of voice call/direct green key access..u can able to video call with only 30p/mint call charge…if 3g is present in ghatal,then u can try that..otherwise to test bsnl 3g service make a trip to historical Midnapur town/Kharagpur Town….

    @maddy
    For what?
    To make/receive video call?
    or
    To get automatic activation of 3G by bsnl?

    BSNL want everyone to use their 3G service, as the service has been launched but the response is not yet good. So the company want to improve their 3g business in short time.

    allowing 2g customers to make voice calls will make all 2g customers who have 3g handsets connect to bsnl 3g network. only those customers who have 3g handsets will be able to make video calls. one good side effect of this is , it will also reduce congestion on the 2g network as users with 3g handsets will use 3g network for voice calls. very good move by BSNL :)

    I am using Video call with BSNL 2G from last 1 month…..bsnl video call needs just 3G handsets & 3G coverage….I am from Rob Circle & the video calls costs me just 30p/mint which is lower than bsnl voice call tariff….
