Netflix and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) have announced a global Pay-1 licensing agreement that will bring Sony’s feature films exclusively to Netflix worldwide following their theatrical and home entertainment windows. Under the multi-year deal—an industry first for Pay-1 rights—Sony’s feature films will stream on Netflix across all territories as rights become available. The rollout will begin later this year, with full global availability expected by early 2029. Netflix will also license select titles from Sony’s feature film and television library as part of the agreement, according to an official announcement dated January 15, 2026.
