Edged Energy has broken ground on a data center in Phoenix, Arizona. The company has also commenced construction on a data center in Mesa, a city in the Phoenix area. The new facility, located at 8811 E. Warner Road, will cater to high-density AI workloads and feature waterless cooling technology. The two-story facility, set on over 12 acres, will offer 36 MW of critical capacity.

Groundbreaking Ceremony
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Mesa city officials and project partners. Haydon Building Corp is the local general contractor and energy will be provided by local utility provider Salt River Project (SRP). The Edged Phoenix data center is expected to begin operations by late 2025, the official release said.
"This project would not be possible without the support and leadership of the city of Mesa and the Arizona Commerce Authority. Together, we share a deep commitment to innovation and sustainability," said Edged.
Waterless Cooling Technology
Edged Phoenix will be equipped with ThermalWorks waterless cooling technology, which can handle high-density AI-driven loads while consuming no water. This modular system, from Edged's sister company ThermalWorks, supports densities of up to 70 kW per rack with air cooling and 200 kW per rack with plug-and-play liquid cooling integration.
The facility's design aims to save over 94 million gallons of water annually, addressing both energy efficiency and local water scarcity.
