IDEA Cellular Launches ID 918 – Dual SIM 3G Smartphone for Rs.5994

Idea Cellular today announced the launch of new android powered Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) 3G smartphone Idea ID 918 for Rs.5994 with attractive 3G data package.

Idea cellular’s Idea ID 918 is the third Android smartphone after Idea Blade and Id-280 launched November 23rd, 2011 as earlier we shared on TelecomTalk.

Idea ID 918 Dual SIM 3G Smartphone has been manufactured by Alcatel, and runs on Android 2.3 – Gingerbread OS. It has 3.2 inch WVGA resolution (800×480 pixels) capacitive touchscreen (multi touch)and 3.2 Mega Pixel Camera. The internal memory is 150 MB, expandable up to 32Gb via a microSD card. The RAM size is 512MB.

The device also supports Geo-tagging, GPS Navigator software, FM radio and MP3 Player, WiFi, Bluetooth, Social Media Apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, and pre-loaded Google and Youtube.The handset devices can operate as mobile phone, mini-computer, and also acts as a Wi-Fi router.

bro first of all dis phone doesn’t has front camera moreover video calling is supported even by android 2.2(froyo)….I have used video calling in Samsung galaxy S which runs on android 2.2

better go with spice stellar craze {MI-355} which have 3.5 inch display 800 mhs snapdragon processor dual sim 5mp rear camera with flash {isn’t it cool} and screen is so good and last thing it has android ics upgrade this all at price of 6499 just check out once you definatelly loves it it’s cheaper in price but not in features and design.

The concept of dualsim should be changed and name it as dual-standby or dual-active ! It’s highly misguiding the people ! Wat the use of dual sim when it becomes not reachable when one sim is in active call ? I think this is also dual-standby mobile ! Except few models in samsung(dono exactly) no other is ready to bring dual-active mobiles at economical rate below 5k !

Looks ok, good battery and good RAM amount in it’s class. But no word on speed of CPU? A 800MHZ CPU would be great but if it’s 600MHZ, then it could be a deal breaker!

Looks like its a great valie for money. At 5994/- it comes loaded with dual sim + 2GB memory card + changble covers. I got to see its demo in idea showroom and also liked its display.
