With this offer for Airtel Prepaid Mobile customers across the country where on buying a digital TV connection at Rs. 2000 with 3 months of Super Value Pack will get Own Net TalkTime up to 1000 minutes.
This offer is valid for Airtel Prepaid Mobile customer and they receives 1000 minutes of local Airtel to Airtel talktime for customers in the southern region, need buy a digital TV from Airtel at Rs 2000 with 5 months of South Value Pack and receive 750 minutes of local Airtel to Airtel talktime.The offer is valid only till June 30, 2009.
To avail the offer, a airtel customers has to follow a simple 3-step process. First, Airtel Prepaid Mobile customer purchases a digital TV connection from any Airtel digital TV retail outlet. Second, he calls 1800 102 8080 to register his new connection and share his Airtel Prepaid Mobile number. Thirdly, talktime is credited on his Airtel Prepaid Mobile account within 7 days of activation of his digital TV connection.

Deepak, every scheme that operators launch would be in their favour – either to increase customers OR to increase revenue… like you said this one if for BOTH.

@ Duane-Nuthing is free,its totally way to fool the people. I cross checked this offer and call the airtel’DTH Helpline to understand the offer.
The truth-: The DTH and Subscription offer cost is just Rs.1750 (Not Rs.2000) and if any one want to take that so claimed FREEE 1000 min of Air Tel Network than you should pay Rs.250 extra!! yea its extra amount for that FREE 1000 min! so now the cost goes to Rs.2000 instead of Rs.1750.
Now if you calculate that with Rs.250 which you have to pay for that FREE TALK MINUTES than the calling cost will 25 paisa per call for Own Network.
So Nothing is FREE!!! as said in this post of Telecom Talk and Airtel DTH,
Its just Marketing Trick to sale their DTH service,bcoz there are many offer for 10p and 20p calling for own network, so why You pay Rs.250 for 1000 airtel min valid for limited period???

I believe you have not read (or understood) the post – its not about RS 2000 OFFER or 3/5 MONTHS FREE …. its about a DTH OPERATOR GIVING MOBILE TALKTIME FREE – this is a 1st among all as no TATA SKY, DISH TV, RELIANCE BIG TV or SUN TV have ever (or will) give MOBILE TALKTIME Free!
