Capabilities Beyond Drone-Based Solutions

The official release stated that this partnership has the potential to extend beyond drone-based solutions, including managing, observing and defence of Spectrum thru various capabilities like spectrum surveillance, direction finding and geolocation, Electronic Support Measures, Signals Intelligence, Electronic Counter Measures, etc.

Drone-Based Spectrum Analysis

Initially, OUS will sell spectrum analyser drones for LS Spectrum. The drone-based spectrum analysers will support seamless detection and analysis of spectrum usage, enabling improved management of communication frequencies in India, the statement added.

Enhancing Security Through Real-Time Monitoring

"It's truly a milestone for us as through this MoU, we reinforce our commitment to contributing to India's growing technology landscape by introducing sophisticated drone-based spectrum solutions in the country," said the Director of LS Spectrum Solutions.

He added, "Through this partnership, we will be also looking at developing solutions to address the issue of unauthorised cellular activity, such as illicit communications originating from prisons in India."

Make-in-India and Global Partnerships

"We look at this collaboration as a perfect opportunity to leverage our distribution and localisation capabilities to deliver quality solutions for the Indian defence, homeland security and aviation industry and forging global partnerships to take forward the Make-in-India story," the Chairman of Optiemus Infracom said in a statement.

The UAVs will enable real-time monitoring of communication frequencies, which is critical for managing spectrum resources, especially in high-demand areas like telecommunications and civil aviation. Additionally, they will be able to enhance security by allowing defence and homeland security sectors to conduct surveillance and detect unauthorised spectrum activities, the official release said.
