OnePlus has understood that India is one of its most important markets, and will stay the same going forward. The company has just sent out invites for launch of the OnePlus 2 on July 28 in the country, which will take place one day after the global launch. The global OnePlus 2 launch will take place at 7:30 AM IST on July 28, while the company will host an India specific event at 12 pm on July 28th for the country's audience.
The company has also announced that it has opened up nine new service centres in the country to help serve its customers better. These new service centres have been opened up in Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai (2 of them), New Delhi, and Kolkata. This has made the total list of service centres of the company in the country go up to 45.
OnePlus has tied up with Regenersis to provide a strong after-sales network. OnePlus had earlier announced that they will provide additional 3 months of warranty to every customer whose smartphone has stayed in a service centre for more than 15 days. This will be applicable for the OnePlus One as well as the OnePlus 2.
The OnePlus 2 is being touted as the 2016 'flagship killer' by OnePlus, and the company is leaving no stone unturned to create hype around the smartphone. The smartphone has been confirmed to come with a Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and a dual-SIM card slot.
