BSNL is now following the footsteps of private telcos as the PSU is looking to generate some revenues. Earlier, we reported that BSNL would be implementing voice calling cap at 250 minutes per day on unlimited combo prepaid plans starting August 19, 2019. We thought that only the long-validity combo plans from the telco would be affected with this move, however, that's not the case as all the plans with 'Unlimited' offering will limit the voice calls. There are a total of 22 unlimited combo prepaid plans which now limit the voice calls. Private telcos used to limit voice calls on a daily and weekly basis earlier, but after the introduction of VoLTE or Voice over LTE service, they started providing unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit to match Reliance Jio. If you're in search for the list of BSNL prepaid plans which fall under the new voice calling cap, then continue reading this article for more information.

BSNL also confirmed that its popular Rs 1,098 prepaid plan which recently got a revision would not have any voice calling FUP limit. BSNL's Rs 1,098 prepaid plan now offering unlimited voice calls, 375GB of 2G/3G data without any daily FUP limit and 100 SMSes per day for 75 days.

Most of the plans mentioned also fall under the company's additional data offer under which the plans are providing extra 2.2GB daily data.

BSNL has set a voice calling limit of 250 minutes per day. If a customer crosses the limit, then the calls will be charged at base plan tariff for the rest of the day till midnight.

BSNL Rs 1,699 Plan Offers Unlimited Voice Calling Without Any Limit

When we first reported regarding BSNL's voice calling limit, it was said that the company's yearly Rs 1,699 prepaid plan will also cap the voice calls to 250 minutes per day. But according to the new information we have, BSNL removed the Rs 1,699 long-term plan from the list, which will come as a relief to the customers. The Rs 1,699 plan from BSNL offers unlimited voice calling, 4.2GB data per day (as part of BSNL's additional data offer) and 100 SMSes per day for 365 days.

As part of the Independence Day offer, the same PV 1,699 from BSNL is now providing an additional 90 days validity which means the plan offers benefits for a total of 455 days from the date of recharge. This extra validity offer will run until September 13, 2019. Do make a note that the Personalised Ringtone Validity will remain 365 days only and not 455 days.
