The Oppo A83 (2018) has launched in India giving a worthy update to the previous Oppo A83 which made its debut in January this year. This new phone ships at a slightly higher price of Rs 15,990 when compared to the previous price of Rs 13,990 of the initial Oppo A83. The phone gets an upgrade in the RAM and internal storage department. Oppo has decided to leave the other areas of the phone like design and display untouched. This new phone has probably been released to give competition to the likes of the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the recently launched Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. The new model of the Oppo phone ships in three colours which will namely be Blue, Red and Gold.

The Oppo A83 (2018) is a dual nano SIM device which sports a 5.7inch HD+ display of 720x1440 pixel resolution. The display is a LCD panel with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs on the octa-core MediaTek MT6737T SoC that clocks a speed of 2.5GHz. This processor has been combined with 4GB RAM for a decent performance on the phone in the 2018 version while the previous version used to ship with 3GB RAM. The phone boots Android 7.1 Nougat-based ColorOS 3.2 out of the box, which is Oppo’s custom UI.
