Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ launched in India along with Keypad Cover and Wireless Fast Charger

The world's largest smartphone brand unveiled its two high-end phablets, the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ last week at its Galaxy Unpacked 2015 even that was held in New York. Today, Samsung has launched the Galaxy S6 edge+ in India.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will be available from August 28 in India with a price tag of Rs. 57,990. This price is for the 32GB storage variant while the details about the pricing of the 64GB variant is still unknown. Along with the Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung has launched two accessories, the Keypad Cover as well as the Wireless Fast Charger. The Keypad Cover, which is targeted towards people who like physical QWERTY keyboards on their smartphones, is priced at Rs. 4,499, while the Wireless Fast Charger is priced at Rs. 3,599.

The Galaxy S6 edge+ can be seen as a larger screen variant of the Galaxy S6 edge. It features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based newer TouchWiz UI, a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage space, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n, and a 3,000 mAh battery.

In the imaging department, the Galaxy S6 edge+ features a 16-megapixel primary camera with phase-detection autofocus, F/1.9 aperture, OIS, and 4K video recording. There's a 5-megapixel secondary camera features f/1.9 aperture as well. There's a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the home button, a heart-rate monitor, and a display with dual curved display.
