Back in January 2017, Idea Cellular announced that it’s foraying into the digital content segment with the launch of three mobile apps – Idea Music Lounge, Idea Movie Club, and Idea Game Spark, under ‘Digital Idea.’ The major motto of these services is to deliver one-stop entertainment destination for Idea subscribers by providing access to large collection of popular and premium content.

Idea Cellular claims that the three apps have received an enormous response from the audience in the country. In its Q4 2017 financial results, Idea Cellular has released the full details on how the apps have fared in the last three months.
The Idea Music Lounge currently has over three million tracks both Indian and international. The company is looking to expand the number to 20 million tracks very soon. The application is available to download for free on both Google Play Store and Apple Store. Diving into the regional content, the Idea Music Lounge offers content in 13 Indian languages. As of March 31, 2017, over 5,57,000 customers are using Idea Music app.
The second app in the list is the Idea Movie Club. We have recently reported that the application is slowly catching up rival operator’s services such as JioCinema and Airtel Movies with its features, and Idea today revealed that the application is being used by 2,76,000 customers. The Idea Movie Club app offers thousands of blockbuster movies, Live TV, seven days catch-up TV, along with a series of original content, and short videos across all genres and multiple languages. Idea is offering live and catch-up TV including premium channels in collaboration with Ditto TV.
