Vodafone today announced the launch of a new service for all its customers in Mumbai who wish to purchase new Vodafone prepaid or postpaid connections.
Customers can now purchase new Vodafone prepaid or postpaid connection from the comfort of their home through Vodafone eShop- the portal that enables customers to buy various Vodafone products online.
Through seven easy steps, customers can now get new Vodafone prepaid or postpaid connection delivered at their doorsteps. Customers can simply log on to Vodafone India website and purchase a new prepaid or postpaid connection with their choice of per second/ per minute tariff plan and make an online payment for the same through Vodafone eShop.
The prepaid connection card will be delivered to the customer with in 24 hours of purchasing it from Vodafone eShop. A duly filled application form will be collected from the customer along with the necessary address & identity proof. The connection will be activated post acceptance of the relevant documents.
Speaking about this new service, Rohit Adya, Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Essar, Mumbai said, “Vodafone continues to innovate and provide greater value to its customers. This service will offer our customers an access to Vodafone connection through its e-shop and stay connected. This enables our consumers to access our services and products anytime anywhere.”This service also allows customers to choose their favorite number for the purchased prepaid/postpaid Vodafone connection. Currently, the service is available to all the customers in Mumbai.

Fucking Faltu vodafone eshop, no one will get the prepaid sim no. as displayed on website and they gave me faltu another no. after complaining to nodal officers.
I Recommend do not use Eshop to purchase sim no. as your amt will be block and extra amt will incurred for getting those sim..

It is an improvement of service. But it is not big enought to be called innovation. Buying new sim card is not a service that be used frequencely, so it is not so useful for customers.

In Delhi Vodafone Free SIM with Pay per second plan Free SIM + uske Saath Aircel kee SIM Free..with Rs.20 TT..
LOL on Vodaforne.. for this service..i think only postpaid users will use this!
MTNL Delhi was first to launch this service in India.. very very long time ago!

what f@$%ing innovative? virgin mobile was the first one to have this service in india. vodafone is just a copy cat. it has always blatantly copied others and shamelessly and without conscience claimed its to be innovative! chor salay!
