Xiaomi still hasn't launched the Redmi Note in India and is still continuing the Redmi 1S sales but looks like the information related to its successor is already surfacing on the Internet.
According to the information available on Xiaomi's official forum, the successor to the Redmi Note is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, an octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor (4 x Cortex A17 + 4 x Cortex A7), 3GB of RAM and will come in four storage variants; 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. It might feature a 20.7MP primary rear-facing camera and an 8MP secondary front-facing camera. This might be very well the Exmor RS camera sensor from Sony which is being used in the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and the Meizu MX4.
It might feature dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE and NFC, apart from regular connectivity features. It is also said to be equipped with a temperature sensor and a bunch of gesture sensors. The unannounced device might have a 3,500 mAh battery to juice the high-end processor. The 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB variants are expected to be priced at $165, $215 and $245, respectively, though the price of the 128GB variant is not known yet.
