Xiaomi has taken its first step to decrease its reliability on Flipkart for selling its smartphone in the Indian market. The company has opened Mi Store in India, which is an online store to buy Xiaomi products. In China, the company has been selling its devices via Mi store in China, now it is trying to tread the same path in India.
As of now, the Mi Store India is not selling the smartphones, but it has listed the accessories on the website with more to be added in the upcoming months. One can buy the Redmi Note back covers, Mi earphones, and flip cases from store.
Many products manufactured by Xiaomi such as Mi Band and Yi Action Camera among others have not been launched in India yet. We can expect the company to sell them on the Mi Store exclusively and does giving a much needed push to the online retail platform.
Moreover, in other news, Xiaomi will be selling the Mi Pad and Redmi 2 smartphone on March 24 via Flipkart. Users have to register (registrations now open) to participate in the flash sale of the Redmi 2. The Mi Pad will be available without a flash sale.
