Vodafone, the country' second largest telecom operator earlier this year partnered with Netflix to offer content from the world's leading movie and TV show streaming service. The company also promised that it would offer Netflix premium subscription with some of its tariff plans.

And finally, the offer has arrived. Vodafone's now offering up to one year of free premium Netflix subscription with some of the RED postpaid plans. The company has announced the offer officially. Yes, you heard it right, you will get Netflix free subscription for one year.

The Vodafone RED postpaid plans start from Rs. 499 and go all the way up to Rs. 1699. That said, the free Netflix subscription offer is not applicable for all the Vodafone RED plans. The company is providing the offer with only two plans- Vodafone RED 1299 and RED 1699.

The Vodafone RED postpaid plans are the value for money options in the market right now. The Vodafone RED 1299 plan gives a total of 50GB data for 4G handsets and 20GB data for non-4G handset users along with 100 SMS and unlimited calling.

The Vodafone RED 1699 plan provides 60GB data per month for 4G handset users along with 100 SMS and unlimited voice calling. Along with these benefits, both the plans now offer up to one-year of premium Netflix subscription, which usually starts from Rs. 600 per month.

Vodafone says that users can get the Netflix subscription by sending an SMS as 'Netflix' to 199 to active the free subscription. This is a steal deal as the Netflix subscription per month costs more than Rs. 800. However, the complete terms and conditions of the offer have not yet mentioned the company.

Having said that, the 'up to' one-year Netflix subscription could likely mean that users have to either stick with the same Vodafone RED postpaid plan. We will update this article once the official terms and conditions of the offer come out.
