It is official. Samsung will be launching its first Galaxy M series phones in India on January 28. Rumours and leaks about three Galaxy M series phones have been making rounds on the internet for a long time now. The speculations suggest that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 in India first which will be later followed by M30. For the first ever time, some design details of the Galaxy M series phone launching on January 28 have surfaced on the internet. A dedicated page for the Galaxy M phone launching in India has appeared on the e-commerce website Amazon. The page, however, doesn’t reveal whether it is the Galaxy M10 or Galaxy M20. Considering Samsung’s track record Samsung to start in a sequence, which means that it could first launch the Galaxy M10 first, then followed by M20 and M30. This also means that the phone listed on the Amazon India website could be the Samsung Galaxy M10.
Samsung Galaxy M Phones Listed on Amazon
Coming to the Amazon page, it suggests that the first M series phone from Samsung will come with a waterdrop Infinity-V display. Some reports suggest that the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 could come with the same design language which means both the M10 and M20 should have waterdrop notch on the front of the display. With the This also suggests that the upcoming Galaxy M series phone will be the first Samsung phone to feature this new waterdrop Infinity-V display with an affordable price tag. Also, with the presence of the Infinity-V display otherwise mean that the Galaxy M10 and M20 will come with thin bezels on all sides and have a tall display. Rumours suggest that the M series phones could come with LCD display instead of AMOLED considering the phones are going to be aggressively priced.
Furthermore, the dedicated Amazon India page also reveals that the Galaxy M phone will come with all-metal body and include a dual camera setup on the rear panel which is said to be placed on the top left corner followed by a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Rumours have also revealed that the upcoming Galaxy M phone will come with a Type-C port on the bottom. It will also come with fast charge support as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung Galaxy M20 Specifications
Earlier this week, all the key specs of the Galaxy M20 have been revealed by a Dutch website. The report suggests that the Galaxy M20 will come with either an Infinity-V or Infinity-U display and Type-C port. Interestingly, the design details match up to the leaked pictures on the dedicated Amazon India page. The report further reveals that the Galaxy M20 will come with a 6.3-inch LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It also reveals that the first Galaxy M series phone launching in India will come with a massive 5000mAh battery.
On the camera front, the Galaxy M20 is said to include two cameras on the back panel and one on the front which will sit inside the waterdrop notch. On the rear panel, the primary camera includes a 13MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture, while the secondary camera will include a 5MP sensor for depth shots. On the hardware front, the Galaxy M20 is said to be powered by an Exynos 7885 chipset paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage. On the software front, the Galaxy M20 will run on Android Oreo and not the latest Android 9 Pie. It will, however, have One UI on top of Oreo.
