Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE Feature Phone Could Stir the Feature Phone Market With These Specifications

Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE Feature Phone is yet again on the news, but this time around we’ve got the complete specifications of the device. Reliance Jio is long rumoured to launch the 4G VoLTE enabled feature phone at an affordable price. A recent report also revealed that the device might be announced at the Annual General Meeting of Jio on July 21.


And now, a new report from TechPP revealed complete details of the feature phone including the specifications. Besides the report, we’ve received a couple of images from our reader Naveen Harimane. One of our images has the retail packaging box of the device, which revealed all the specifications.

As you can see in the image, the Reliance Jio 4G Feature Phone will come with a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display. The packaging says that the device will have a dual-core processor with a 1.2Ghz CPU, which works in tandem with 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM.

Also, Reliance Industries will add the microSD card support to the phone for storage expansion up to 64GB. There will be an inbuilt browser as well.


This feature phone will accept two SIM cards- one would be a 4G SIM card, and the other one will be a 2G SIM card. In addition, the terms and conditions in the box state that one SIM card slot should be used with a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card.

Apart from these, the feature phone will have a 2000mAh battery and will come bundled with a music/video player, along with an FM Radio app. There will be a VGA rear camera present as well.

Lastly, the Jio 4G feature phone will support LTE Cat 4 band with spectrum 850MHz, 1800MHz, and 2300MHz. And for the 2G network, the device will have network support in 900MHz and 1800MHz spectrums.


That being said, these are the technical specifications of the upcoming Jio 4G feature phone. And the report of Techpp says that the phone will have a voice assistant to use the device remotely. Another image received by us via another reader of TelecomTalk in the comments section shows that the feature phone will come with Tethering support as well. And yes, it will be an LYF branded device.

All these days, there’s a dilemma in everyone’s mind about the support for Wi-Fi hotspot, but it’s cleared now. With this, many Indians will be looking to make this Jio 4G feature phone as their secondary smartphone.

At this moment, Jio did not conclude the pricing of the phone, and there will be two variants of the phone- one with Spreadtrum chip and the other one with Snapdragon Mobile Platform. And the hotspot image shows a new OS called ‘ KaiOS.’ All though few days back Jio Phone Price was leaked.
