On April 10 India saw a landmark event in the history of telecommunications, as Airtel announced 4G wireless broadband services in Kolkata in presence of Union Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal.

What Do you Think about Airtel 4G

Airtel’s 4G is based upon LTE-TDD technology. Airtel currently offers 4G services for data access only, and devices are also limited. Currently only a data card and a indoor WiFi CPE is available. Details of Airtel 4G plans, devices and value added services are given here.

Which part of my comment appeared as lie Sirji ? Whatever I post , that is true as far I am concerned/ best of my knowledge . Agree that you are an Expert and I am a newbie in this Forum , but that does not mean that newbies should be debarred .
Since I was down with bad health since last week I could not go to 4G Experience Zone and hence could not post the result .. However it seems someone else has gone there and posted about his/her experience .

It’s a nice move by Airtel by launching 4G LTE services in India. I am only disappointed with Post FUP speed 128 kbps. They should provide at lease 512 kbps post FUP speed considering the entire bandwidth of 4G LTE, which is 100 Mbps. I expect this technology would expand rapidly and not gonna be the loser like 3G considering data costs. I am really excited to experience this technology in our region.
LTE’s next evolution, LTE Advanced is expected to provide 1 Gbps theoretical speed. But right now, let’s see how LTE succeeds…
