Soon after the GFXBench listing of OnePlus 3, the company has announced that the phone will be sold through a couple of “pop-up” shops across the world. According to the listing on its website, the pop-up shops will be opened in places such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

Although no confirmed date is announced for the opening of pop-up shops, it’s mentioned that “Right after the trip to the Loop, we will be visiting 7 cities with the OnePlus 3.” This hints the date to be after the launch function, June 15.

For those who are unclear of “the trip to the Loop”, OnePlus had earlier informed that OnePlus 3 will be introduced at a “conference” on June 15 at 10 am in China. On 15 June, OnePlus is not hosting a mere press event for OnePlus 3, rather the people are invited to put on the VR headsets (preferably a Loop VR) and watch the unveiling of the new phone in the virtual settings of the Loop space station. The first OnePlus 3 units to go on sale will be available through VR as well.

Recently, the company has also removed the “invite” system for the phone. Also, it conducted a flash sale for OnePlus 3 in China on 6 June 2016. Around 1000 units were put up for sale. The flash sale did not show the pricing for the device and the buyers did not pay any amount. The buyers will get the phones shipped after the official launch and payment is also collected later.

Meanwhile, at the pop-up shops, the customers can experience new OnePlus 3 first-hand. There will be no sign up hurdles, rather the customers can simply walk-in, try, and buy the phone. Company also added that “Exclusive swag will be up for grabs” at the pop-up shops.
