MTNL To Simplify 3G Settings, Unified APN for Mumbai and Delhi

India’s first 3G Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) is going to simplify the 3G Mobile and Data card setting process by providing unified or common Access Point Name (APN) for its prepaid and postpaid customers in Mumbai and Delhi circle.

MTNL all set to made easy and simple 2G GPRS – EDGE and 3G Settings for all handsets, Data Card, Tablets with signal unified APN ‘’ for all prepaid and postpaid subscribers in Mumbai and Delhi circles from 10th March 2012.

However MTNL customers using existing APN for 3G/GPRS Internet access may continue with existing APN for time being or switch over to new APN.

Presently MTNL has different APNs for 2G and 3G Data access over its prepaid and postpaid service; and these settings are also different in Mumbai and Delhi circles.

MTNL Mumbai’s Current APN for 2G and 3G gprsppsmum (for prepaid) and gprsmtnlmum (for Postpaid)
MTNL Delhi’s Current APN for 3G gprsppsdel or pps3g (for prepaid) and gprsmtnldel or mtnl3g (for postpaid)
New Unified MTNL APN for Mumbai and Delhi(effective from 10th March)

I am living in virar whichi is in maharashtra circle I have mtnl mumbai card but I can’t access internet on my blackberry bold5 in my residence please told what can I do??? Please give me apn setting

move out from bsnl to airtel 3g, its best, mtnl is worst

My MTNL 3G datacard is not recognizing any signal. It just shows “Searching” instead of UMTS (or atleast EDGE). I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Dialer and checked the Settings, still it is not working.
