The selfie craze is catching fast momentum and no smartphone vendor wants to be left behind. Many established brands have already launched selfie-focussed smartphones or are in the process of introducing smartphones with powerful front-facing camera units.

Two days ago, Karbonn unleashed Titanium S19 smartphone, which is expected to be a selfie-focused smartphone. Following the movement, Lava has announced that it would soon launch a smartphone with a wide-angle front camera and LED flash in the X series. This smartphone from Lava is expected to come with a 5-inch display, elegant design with Android 4.4 KitKat and it would be priced under Rs. 10,000. According to the teaser picture, the smartphone has an LED flash in the centre, above the earpiece and has a similar design as the X1 smartphone. Though there is no revelation on the camera resolution yet.

Sony has already set dibs with the Xperia C3 which features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. Microsoft is rumoured to launch the Nokia Lumia 730 with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera during the upcoming IFA 2014.
