The budget smartphone market is over-hauling with a hoard of new offerings based on Android 4.4 KitKat from local and global players. In order to stiffen the competition, Karbonn Mobiles has also knocked in with one such handset, Karbonn Titanium S19, which is priced at Rs 8,999. The handset has been listed online, in partnership with the retailer HomeShop18. The official announcement is still pending though.

The Karbonn Titanium S19 sports a 5-inch HD IPS OGS display with a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. A 13MP primary camera is teamed up with an LED flash and a front-facing 5MP camera to facilitate video calls and clicking selfies. Moreover, there is 8GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. Other features onboard with Titanium S19 are connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM functionality and a 2,000 mAh battery for a descent backup.

With the above mentioned specifications, the Karbonn Titanium S19 can prove to be a tough challenger for all the Android 4.4 KitKat based offerings in the sub Rs 10,000 price category. Some of the other noteworthy competitors include Asus Zenfone 5, Xolo Q600s and many others.
