Reliance Jio, the largest telecom operator in India, could soon announce two new 5G-supportive phones. The telco has often said that it wants to see India 2G-Mukt. Much recently, Jio announced the arrival of the JioBharat Phone platform. It is meant to cater to users who want to upgrade to a 4G feature phone and have a very limited budget. But now, there are reports for two new phones coming from Reliance Jio. Since Jio seems to be very close to completing its 5G rollout, the telco could be launching new 5G phones soon.

The development was first noted by tipster Mukul Sharma and reported by 91Mobiles. The report said that two new phones from Reliance Jio have been spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) platform. This means that their launch is imminent. It is also worth noting that Reliance's Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been scheduled for the end of August 2023. Thus, the company could very well announce the arrival of these 5G phones from Jio.
