Intex has unveiled yet another phone in the Aqua series, known as Aqua Desire HD in India. The device is an upgrade version to the Aqua Desire, which was launched in February. The phone has been listed on the company’s official website, for a price of Rs 8,990.
The Aqua Desire HD comes with a 5-inch 720p HD IPS display, and is powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592M octa-core SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of internal storage on-board, which can be further expanded via microSD card. The phone sports a 10-megapixel autofocus rear camera, along with a 5-megapixel front camera and runs Android KitKat 4.4 OS.
The device supports connectivity options such as, Dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS and Bluetooth. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery, which is touted by the company to provide 5 hours of talktime and up to 210 hours on standby mode. The Aqua Desire HD will be available in Black and Blue colors.
Given the price and specifications, the device will most likely compete against devices such as, Xolo Play 8X, Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.
