Idea teases its 4G LTE services with a ‘4G is coming’ banner

Aditya Birla Group controlled Idea Cellular has started teasing the launch of its 4G LTE services with a new banner on their website. The banner states that "4G is coming soon”. A few weeks back, Idea announced that they will launch the 4G network based on FDD-LTE standard in 300 cities starting in December till the first half of the next year.

Primarily Idea, the third largest telecom operator by subscriber figures, has spectrum in the 1800 MHz space in 10 circles; Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, north east states, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. Idea Cellular also has plans to bring digital services like wallet, music streaming, and video streaming services with the 4G launch.

Vodafone and Airtel have already deployed 4G BTS in several circles. They have launched or have plans to launch high-speed data networks to counter Reliance Jio, which has nation-wide fibre network. They already have more than 75,000 BTS which are 4G ready.
