Reliance Jio to Trai: Take action against telcos like Airtel, Vodafone for denying inter-connection

Reliance Jio Infocomm has urged Indian telecom regulator, Trai, to take action against incumbent telecom operators for not providing points of inter-connection (PoIs) to the Mukesh Ambani-led 4G telco during the ongoing test trials. Bharti Airtel completes spectrum deal with Aircel in Odisha circle

Bharti Airtel, India's leading telecom carrier by users said that it completed the acquisition of Aircel's 4G airwaves in the Orissa circle. Vodafone India renews IT outsourcing contract with IBM

Vodafone, India's second largest telecom service provider, on Tuesday renewed its IT outsourcing deal with IBM for five more years. Idea Cellular net profit plunged 74.5% in Q1

Idea Cellular’s consolidated first quarter net profit plunged heavily 74.5% at Rs 2,171 million, from Rs 8,516 million in a year earlier period, due to one-time finance cost for spectrum and lower voice revenues. The company’s total revenue however increased 7.9% in the quarter to Rs 94,866 million.
