MTS Expands HSD Network in 10 New Towns in West Bengal

As a part of network expansion MTS India has rolled out high speed data services based on EVDO Rev A technology in 10 new towns in West Bengal circle. The new towns are: Islampur, Sonada, Alipurduar, Jorethang, Geizing, Rabangla, Jaigaon, Simthangin, Puruliya and Contai. Government permits 100 per cent Foreign Direct Investment ( FDI ) in telecom

The government has permitted 100 per cent Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the telecom sector, meeting a long-standing demand for a debt-ridden sector.
