Airtel has slashed down the price of 4G WiFi hotspot device from Rs 2,299 to Rs 999 in the Kerala circle. In this highly competitive 4G market, Vodafone and Idea still haven’t managed to launch their 4G WiFi device by giving Airtel edge over its rivals.

The Huawei made Airtel WiFi hotspot is powered by a 1500 mAh Li-ion Polymer battery and can connect 10 devices for up to 6 hours. The battery lasts for 5 – 5.5 hours and takes up to four hours to completely get charged. The device can fall back to 2G or 3G network at places where there is no 4G coverage.
Earlier Jio was offering its WiFi hotspot device called personal WiFi at Rs 1,999 for employees. Now Airtel is trying to undercut Jio by offering rock bottom price for its 4G WiFi device even before the launch of Jio 4G service.
