Karbonn Mobile, the Indian smartphone brand has launched a new smartphone under the popular Aura series. The Karbonn Aura 4G is the latest offering from the company, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 5290 and has modest specifications on paper.

For storage lovers, Karbonn has added a dedicated microSD card slot that can support up to 32GB microSD cards. The phone has an 8MP primary camera with support for LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera.
The Aura 4G has 4G LTE and VoLTE support, which means you can use a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card on the phone. Other connectivity options in the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB OTG.
It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out-of-the-box and packs a 2150mAh battery. The phone will be available in two colour options - blue champagne and coffee champagne.
Karbonn is also bundling a free protective cover in the retail box itself. However, the company did not release the exact availability date of the product.
For the asking price of Rs. 5290, the Aura 4G will compete against the against the likes of iVoomi Me 1+ and Xiaomi Redmi 4A. Both the phones have powerful processors under the hood and have 2GB of RAM on board. And they have decent design as well, compared to the newly announced Karbonn Aura 4G.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the best smartphone in the entry-level segment right now, but it costs Rs. 5,999 and will be available only in flash sales. It has 5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 3120mAh battery unit fuelling the entire package.
