Xiaomi has kickstarted its much-awaited three-day Diwali sale. As a part of the sale, it has also launched the Mi Max Prime in India. The device is now up for sale on Mi.com and Amazon.in for Rs. 19,999. Regarding specs, the Mi Max Prime is superior to its predecessor - the Mi Max that was launched in the middle of this year.
The Prime variant of the Mi Max comes with a better chipset and RAM capacity than the Mi Max; it houses a Snapdragon 652 clubbed with 4GB of RAM. It is superior regarding storage too; the Mi Max Prime features 128GB of expandable internal storage. All these specs could make an ideal pick for the buyers who want premium features under 20k. However, it will face a fierce competition with the recently launched - Lenovo Z2 Plus smartphone, which is priced more modestly than the Mi Max Prime.
Other than the specs mentioned above, the Mi Max Prime is pretty much similar to its predecessor. The device features a 6.44-inch full HD 1080p display, a 16-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top. A 4,850mAh battery backs it and offers up to 14 hours of video playback. For connectivity, it supports 4G LTE with VoLTE (Band 1 /3 /5/7/38/39/40/41), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE with A2DP, GPS, GLONASS, and USB OTG.
We checked Mi.com and found that the Mi Max Prime has already gone out of stock. But Xiaomi will be bringing it back in stock at 10AM tomorrow.
