Vodafone Play app goes Free for three months till 31 December 2016

Vodafone India has extended the free subscription offer of its Vodafone Play app to all customers till 31 December 2016, a release from the company says.

Launched in February 2016, Vodafone app was available for 4G and 3G subscribers with a launch offer. The offer, 3-months free subscription to 4G subscribers and 1-month free subscription to 3G subscribers, was open during the period from 15th April to 31st Aug 2016. This offer has now been revised as stated above.

Vodafone Play offers entertainment content such as Live TV shows, full-length movies, and music from different genres. According to Vodafone, there are 180 live TV channels, 14000+ movies, and 1.2 million songs and videos. It comes with capabilities like plug and play of OTT apps, DVR capability, show timings display, show start reminders, responsive streaming of live TV channels etc. For this app, Vodafone has partnered with streaming content players, HooQ & Hungama.

Speaking about Vodafone Play, Sandeep Kataria, Director – Commercial, Vodafone India, said, “People are increasingly watching more videos and listening to music on their smartphones. Instead of downloading multiple apps, all they need is to download and use Vodafone Play that offers the best of content digitally for all their entertainment requirements. It is truly a single window to the world of entertainment with a rich portfolio of content across genres and languages. We will continue to enrich its portfolio by adding more quality content and features on Vodafone Play to make the consumer experience more enjoyable.”

Vodafone Play app is currently available on Android above 4.1 and iOS 7.0. To access the app, users have to download Vodafone Play application to the smartphone from Google Play Store or iOS store. On the other hand, they can also send an SMS “PLAY” to 199 to receive a link via SMS/WAP push to download the app.
