Vodafone India, India' second largest telecom operator, has unveiled a new plan of Rs. 244, which offers benefits for 70 days. Vodafone has launched this plan right after Jio's announcement of the new tariff plans two weeks ago.

The all new Rs. 244 plan from Vodafone gives 1GB 3G/4G data per day, and unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls for 70 days. That said, this plan is a first recharge plan, meaning only new users can avail this new scheme of Rs. 244.

Furthermore, this new plan will be valid for 70 days on the first recharge, and from the second recharge, the validity will be decreased to 35 days with the same amount. Besides this Rs. 244 FRC plan, the company is also providing another recharge plan of Rs. 346.

The Rs. 346 plan offers 1GB data per day, and unlimited voice calls to any network for 56 days. However, the voice calls are limited to 300 minutes per day, and 1200 minutes per week. Vodafone is offering 56GB data with this plan.

Vodafone is also offering 5% cashback with both the Rs. 244 and Rs. 346 plan for users who recharge the plan via My Vodafone app. The 5% cashback will be given as talk time. For example, the Rs. 244 plan offers Rs. 9.70 talk time, while the Rs. 346 plan gives Rs. 17.30 talk time.

With these plans, Vodafone is countering the incumbent operators such as Bharti Airtel, BSNL, Idea Cellular, and of course, Reliance Jio. Airtel has a similar Rs. 244 plan for select users, providing the same benefits of 1GB data per day and unlimited Airtel to Airtel calls.

On the other hand, Idea Cellular has a Rs. 297 plan, offering the same benefits- 1GB data per day and unlimited Idea to Idea calls for 70 days. However, Idea Cellular and Airtel are offering same benefits for all the existing users, as well as new users. Reliance Jio has stirred the market yet again with its new tariff plan of Rs. 399, which gives 1GB data per day and unlimited calls to any network for 84 days.

Update: Several TelecomTalk readers are claiming that the plan is also valid for existing users, who are recharging the plan for the first plan. And the price differs with a circle.

Note; This is a segmented offer and price might vary from circle to circle.
