Vodafone India Offers Seamless Relocation Service for Postpaid Customers

By April 12th, 2012 AT 2:18 PM

Vodafone India today announced the launch of a unique service to assure ‘Seamless Relocation‘ for all its postpaid customers across all circles in India.

Since Vodafone is present in all states of India, any customer who wants to re-locate from one state to another state – anywhere in India can continue to enjoy un-interrupted services from Vodafone.

Customers relocating to different parts of the nation often face trouble securing a local mobile phone connection with number choice. It is a big hassle to search for the right tariff plan, service provider, etc. in the new location. Moreover, customers who were enjoying special privileges like higher credit limits, billing details, etc. in their older location need to establish their credentials in their new location.

Keeping this inconvenience in mind, Vodafone has launched the new service to enable its post-paid customers a seamless relocation experience. The customer needs to apply for the same in his current location.

The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) will alert the Vodafone team in the new location from where executives will contact the customer, ensure a convenient process of allocating them a new number (as per customers choice), retaining their credit limit, changing the billing address and collecting identity proof documents.

Reliance and TATA have plans wherein they offer T2T or R2R Unlimited Free – local or STD depending on plan you choose. We don’t see any such plan in Vodafone. Can this be worked out? Actually this creates ripple effect,eg. X was a Vodafone Customer. He took R******* connection Unlimited Plan…now he recommends his friends and relatives to take the same…thus creates affect…Though you may not be loosing clients in numbers, it would be purely business loss…generally customers do not discontinue their old numbers.

Why don’t Vodafone is not coming with Roam free plans???
This is of waste service it can be done easily nothing to specially from vodafone.
Vodafone should provide service with not changing the number i new state with some different plan, will that happen?
Currently am holding a postpaid connection good for nothing since i use to roam south india paid more bills for some time.
Later took a Docomo Roam free 299 plan its excellent now. Thanks to Docomo.
