Vodafone 4G arrives in parts of Navi Mumbai, attractive benefits as a launch offers

Vodafone India has launched 4G services across Vashi, Kopar Khairane, Airoli, Nerul, Belapur and Kharghar. The roll out across all parts of Mumbai will be completed by the end of March 2016, says the company.

“Mumbai is a strong leadership market for Vodafone India with data contributing around 30% of total revenues. We are proud and delighted to bring our 4G services to Navi Mumbai. 4G has the potential to revolutionize the mobile experience through powerful innovation that impacts how we work and live. With this launch, majority of Mumbai is covered by Vodafone SuperNet 4G and we expect to achieve complete coverage by end March 2016,” said Ishmeet Singh, Business Head – Mumbai, Vodafone India.

Vodafone’s 4G service in Navi Mumbai is built on a strong fibre backhaul of 100G, and is supported by its superfast 3G services on a new and modern network. With this launch, Vodafone is now uniquely positioned to offer in Mumbai, 2G/3G/4G services on its own state of the art, convergent radio technology.

There are special benefits accompanying the launch. The customers can get a free upgrade to 4G SIM. The postpaid Vodafone 4G customers on RED plan can get 100% extra data. There are greater than 1GB packs for postpaid & prepaid customers for select MRPs. Besides, the customers get a complimentary subscription to TV, Movies & Music on VODAFONE PLAY as part of Vodafone 4G for three months. Access to Hungama Play, 100+ Live TV channels, HOOQ, Vodafone Music etc. are the other launch offers.

Vodafone 4G, built on the efficient 1800 MHz band, is accessible on a wide range of devices including Mobile Wi-Fi and dongles. The 4G packs starts from Rs. 26 for 75MB (trial pack) to Rs. 3297 for 20GB 4G. The service provider promises an instant SIM swap at all Vodafone stores and retail outlets. The subscribers can check the 4G compatibility of their devices by sending an SMS to 199.

They can also request for 4G SIM by calling the call centre or sending an SMS . The door-step delivery of postpaid 4G SIMs is also offered and customers can avail the SIM the next day itself. However, to avail this service, the requests must be made before 7:00pm the previous day.

Besides Mumbai, Vodafone 4G services are already present in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata and Delhi & NCR. It is also the first and only telecom service provider to currently offer international roaming on 4G to its India customers visiting Ireland, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Greece, South Africa, Albania, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, UK, Germany, Romania, Spain and Netherlands.
