UTSTARCOM-IndiaUTStarcom, Inc named as best Broadband System Integrator Company, in India at the INFOCOM CMAI National Telecom Award 2009.

The Key constraint for this is there successful integration with telecom service providers to enable multi-play broadband (a.k.a. Triple-Play broadband) in India. Making users to access voice, data and video on the same broadband connection at fast speeds that were previously unattainable.




Shri Gurudas Kamath, Hon'ble Minister of State for Communications and IT presented the award to Mr Vijay Yadav, managing director of UTStarcom’s South Asia operations at the award ceremony held at Le Meridien in New Delhi on 24th July 2009.

The INFOCOM CMAI National Telecom Awards 2009 is amongst the prominent awards for the company in Indian domain also UTStarcom was named as most trusted company by VARIndia in the areas of broadband and IPTV leadership in 2008.

Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association (TEMA) in India recognized UTStarcom with an Excellence in Telecom Services and Solutions” award for the company’s innovation and direct impact on India’s telecom market growth.Company entails IPTV contracts with leading service providers in India viz Bharti Airtel,Aksh Optifibre for BSNL & MTNL. Stepping a foot ahead UTStarcom has also announced IPTV deployments with United Telecoms Limited in India and for overseas with SLT in Sri Lanka.
