Uninor, the ‘Sabse Sasta’ operator, hikes data rates in the Gujarat circle

Uninor, the Telenor-owned Indian telecom unit, which has been promoting itself as ‘Sabse Sasta’ operator, has hiked data pack prices in the Gujarat circle. The revision came in when operators are increasing data rates, which industry experts are saying they are trying to earn more before they start bleeding after Reliance JIO’s launch. If you don’t know, Reliance JIO will launch commercially with dirt-cheap rates to gain maximum users in minimum span of time.

A few weeks ago, Vodafone, which had maximum subscribers in the Gujarat circle, had increased data rates. Uninor has withdrawn the Rs. 151 data pack which used to offer 3GB of 2G data. They have now launched another data pack, which is priced at Rs. 161, offering less data as it comes with only 2GB of 2G data.

Withdrawn Pack Details:

Price Benefits Validity
Rs 151 3 GB 2G Data 28 Days

You can get the details of all the data packs that are offered by Uninor in the Gujarat circle in a chart below.

Uninor is facing some stiff competition from incumbents in that region. In July, Uninor lost 0.62 million users due to removal of non-active user-base while Idea gained most of new activations.
