Russian mobile operator Tele2 has made mobile services available to visitors at the Luzhniki aqua complex in Moscow. The operator has deployed a base station, providing high-speed internet and HD voice services throughout the entire area of the over five-hectare complex. This enables thousands of guests and athletes to seamlessly use the operator's communication services, the company said in an official statement.

Tele2 Expands Coverage
Tele2 has been deploying new base stations and improving coverage across travel and leisure areas during the summer season. The operator said that by the end of June 2024, it had provided coverage throughout the Luzhniki aquatic complex, including the water park, thermal and health complex, sports pools, surf club, shopping gallery, and catering areas.
Tele2 Russia has deployed a base station to provide HD voice communication and high-speed internet on 3G and 4G networks. Specifically, the operator has installed base stations using UMTS 2100, LTE 2100, and LTE 2600 technologies.

Coverage Across All Areas
"Tele2 provides an opportunity to use high-quality and stable communication at both socially significant facilities and leisure areas for our clients," Tele2 Russia commented on the network coverage at the complex.
"The Luzhniki water complex remains one of the most visited areas of the capital during the summer season. It was important for us to create a timely, high-quality telecom infrastructure for a comfortable stay for the guests of this site," the company added.
In early July, Tele2 Russia announced the modernisation of its network at transport hubs throughout Russia.
