Sony announces Android 5.1 plans, has surprises galore

Sony has been rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop to only a select few devices but that doesn’t mean that it has forgotten has some of its mid-range users. Sony has just announced the list of devices that will be getting the Android 5.1 Lollipop and has included some devices which didn’t even get the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The company will commence the roll out for the update in July and users will require at least 1.2GB of free space being available on the internal storage of their devices. The update will take roughly 20 minutes of your time. The list of devices which will get the update are:

The Xperia M2 and M2 Aqua didn’t get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update initially but will skip straight away to the latest version of Android. The latest crop of smartphones from its stable will get updated too.

thanks alot to Sony; after i upgraded to android 5.0 initially had issues with screen resolution, perormance ; then few days later another update was released it helped to fix performance issue, but still display having issue…

Nice to know it will be available for Old Z series mobile as well. Good move by Sony.
