At last Reliance Communications has launched its much waited 4G services in the country. Officially Reliance 4G has been launched in Mumbai and the company has uploaded the 4G data plans of the circle. However the plans are available for Reliance 4G WiPod only. Mobile data plans are coming soon.

These 4G data plans are a real shocker to CDMA customers of RCOM, who were enjoying super cheap CDMA/EVDO data on mobile (for eg: 1 - 1.5GB at Rs 94 for 28 days). On 4G 1GB data comes at a price of Rs 297.

Check out the Reliance 4G data plans for 4G MiFi Devices:

Pay As You Go : 4p/10kB

Reliance 4G Prepaid plans :

1GB for 2 days - Rs 98
1GB for 28 days - Rs 297
2GB for 28 days - Rs 501
3GB for 28 days - Rs 698
5GB for 28 days - Rs 1099
7GB for 28 days - Rs 1399
10GB for 28 days - Rs 1857

Reliance 4G Postpaid Plans:

2GB - Rs 450
3GB - Rs 650
5GB - Rs 850
7GB - Rs 1100
10GB - Rs 1500

We can see that the data pricing are on the upper side and they definitely cost more than Airtel, Vodafone or Idea's 4G plans which is just priced as 3G plans.

Reliance will offer data card based 4G SIM cards for its own MiFi devices. The SIM cards will be barred to make calls, and can be used with open market MiFi devices.
