Reliance slashes Netconnect+ postpaid tariff across India

Reliance seems to not be leaving any stone unturned in increasing its data market share. After having launched new 3G plans Pan India and the announcement of extending 3G offerings to 5 more circles Reliance has turned its focus on the CDMA EVDO data platform by reducing its Netconnect+ tariffs. Reliance now offers 2GB unlimited data at Rs.299+tax and 20GB unlimited data for Rs.999+taxes. The details of all the new tariff plans are mentioned below.

The only two competitors for Reliance Netconnect+ on the EVDO wireless broadband platform are Tata Docomo Photon and MTS MBlaze. The pros and cons of Netconnect+ in comparison to Photon and MBlaze are mentioned below.
Pros-
• Netconnect+ is the only EVDO broadband present in all 22 telecom circles which is truly pan India footprint. Photon has its footprint in 19 circles while MBlaze has in only 9 circles.
• Netconnect+ has better coverage in rural areas in comparison to Photon and MBlaze
Cons-
• Netconnect+ offers only EVDO Rev.A with max speed of 3.1Mbps downlink. Both Photon max and MBlaze Ultra provide EVDO Rev.B Phase 2 data with maximum download speed of 9.8 Mbps.
• Netconnect+ does not offer personal portable hotspot feature which both Photon and MBlaze provide.

Reliance Netconnect is not a Pan India operator. It has coverage in 16 circles unlike 24 as you said. please verify from http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/internet/wireless_internet_coverage.html.

Moreover Reliance doesn’t have licence for CDMA in NE and Assam circles.

Only BSNL EVDO is offering truly unlimited speed. After using 100 GB data you will get same speed 3.1 MBPS @ Rs.750.
