Something different has been happening in the Indian telecom space from the past few months, after the launch of iPhone 4 with Bundled plans by Airtel and Aircel, Reliance Communications (RCOM) largest dual technology mobile operator announced the launch of World’s first dual core Android smartphone LG Optimus 2X with “Money Back Plan” for its 3G subscribers across India.

In a bid to capture high-end 3G consumer segment, Reliance Communications (RCOM) introduces LG Optimus 2X Postpaid 3G Plan for Rs.1799 per month and Prepaid Plan for monthly recharge of Rs.1001 with lot of freebies.

Under LG Optimus 2X Money Back Prepaid Plan, Reliance 3G customer who purchase LG Optimus 2X smartphone will be entitled to get monthly Free 2.5 GB Data at 7.2 Mbps speed, 300 minutes Video calls (Local Reliance to Reliance ), 4000 minutes of free talktime ( local R2R), 500 minutes of free local talktime to other networks,4000 Local & STD SMS and Mobile TV Pack with the Special Recharge of Rs. 1001.

Reliance 3G – LG Optimus 2X “Money Back Plans” in detail :

We will have to obviously wait and see how many 3G subscribers will lap this up, but according to us the entry cost of above postpaid and prepaid plans are just too high even with all the discounts and freebies offered! Whats your take on ?
